Met deze G6131 Jet eert Gretsch op gepaste wijze de legendarische Malcolm Young, wiens ijzersterke ritmespel en songwriting het fundament vormde onder de iconische nummers van de rocktitanen van AC/DC. Deze G6131-MY-RB Jet is een recreatie van de fameuze Gretsch Jet van Malcolm Young, bijgenaamd 'The Beast'. Deze rode versie werd gebruikt op het vroege werk van AC/DC, nog voordat Malcolm Young de gitaar van zijn finish ontdeed en modificeerde.
Om Young's vroegste dagen met het instrument na te bootsen, is de G6131G-MY-RB uitgerust met TV Jones Ray Butts Ful-Fidelity Filter'Tron brug- en nekpickups die de onmiskenbare vintage Gretsch-klank geven, samen met een toegevoegde TV Jones Starwood humbucker in het midden voor een heldere en krachtige klank.
De G6131G-MY-RB Limited Malcolm Young Signature Jet is gebouwd met een licht verouderde afwerking, 12-inch radius gebonden ebbenhouten toets met 22 jumbo frets, verouderde parelmoerkleur Neo-Classic miniatuurinleg, Adjusto-Matic brug met ebbenhouten basis, jaren 60 Jet vibrato staartstuk, Schaller gegoten stemmechanieken, zwarte slagplaat, G-pijl bedieningsknoppen en verouderde gouden hardware.
With this G6131 Jet, Gretsch appropriately honors the legendary Malcolm Young, whose rock-solid rhythm playing and songwriting formed the foundation of the iconic songs of the rock titans of AC/DC. This G6131-MY-RB Jet is a recreation of Malcolm Young's famous Gretsch Jet, nicknamed 'The Beast'. This red version was used on AC/DC's early work, even before Malcolm Young stripped and modified the guitar.
To recreate Young's earliest days with the instrument, the G6131G-MY-RB is equipped with TV Jones Ray Butts Ful-Fidelity Filter'Tron bridge and neck pickups that deliver the unmistakable vintage Gretsch tone, along with an added TV Jones Starwood humbucker in the middle for a clear and powerful sound.
