James Goodall is een meesterbouwer uit Californië. Zijn vakmanschap is van het hoogste kaliber, en zijn instrumenten kunstwerken. Voor deze Grand Concert heeft Goodall Guitars alles uit de kast gehaald wat materialen betreft.
Met een klankkast van Macassar Ebony en bovenblad van Duits sparren van absolute topkwaliteit is deze gitaar een absolute blikvanger. Voor het bovenblad van deze absolute topgitaar heeft Goodall een qua gewicht zo licht mogelijk stuk hout geselecteerd om zo een optimale resonantie te bereiken. De Grand Concert van Goodall valt wat zijn formaat betreft tussen de Parlor en de Concert Jumbo in. De gitaar is door zijn dynamische respons bij uitstek geschikt voor fingerstyle-spel, en heeft helderheid, sustain en een krachtige projectie. De gitaar weet zich door zijn fraaie klank echter ook uitstekend te onderscheiden bij andere speelstijlen.
De overige eigenschappen van deze gitaar zijn ook zeker het benoemen waard. Zo heeft de gitaar op het gebied van decoratie een binding van gevlamd esdoorn en een prachtige rozet van abalone. De mahoniehouten hals heeft een ebben toets en beschikt over een mensuur van 25.5 inch, en is op zijn beurt versierd met een bescheiden abalone toetsinleg en ebben kopplaat. Het K&K Trinity pickupsysteem zorgt tenslotte voor een hoogwaardige versterking van het prachtige geluid van deze Goodall.
De gitaar is gebouwd in 2014, en heeft enkele dings op het bovenblad, met daarbij lichte speelsporen op de achterzijde van de klankkast en de hals. With a Macassar ebony back and sides and a top of top-quality German spruce, this guitar is a true eye-catcher. For the top of this top-of-the-line guitar, Goodall selected the lightest possible piece of wood to achieve optimal resonance. The Goodall Grand Concert falls between the Parlor and the Concert Jumbo in terms of size. Its dynamic response makes it ideal for fingerstyle playing, offering clarity, sustain, and powerful projection. However, its beautiful tone also distinguishes itself perfectly with other playing styles.
The other features of this guitar are also worth mentioning. For example, the guitar features flamed maple binding and a beautiful abalone rosette. The mahogany neck has an ebony fingerboard and a 25.5-inch scale length, and is adorned with a modest abalone fingerboard inlay and an ebony headstock overlay. Die 2014 gebaute Gitarre weist einige kleine Dellen auf der Decke sowie leichte Spielspuren an Korpus und Hals auf.
