Dit is nog een Taylor van de oude stempel; zonder pickup maar nog mét X-bracing. We moesten echter wel even twee keer kijken, want in eerste oogopslag lijkt dit zeker geen gitaar die al bijna vintage is!

De 814C van Taylor is een bijzonder veelzijdige gitaar, die door zijn Grand Auditorium-bodyvorm heerlijk comfortabel is om te bespelen. De gitaar is uitgevoerd met de klassieke combinatie van Indisch palissander en Sitka sparren, en heeft daardoor een warme, volle sound die zich voor allerlei muziekgenres en speelstijlen leent.
De mahonie hals heeft een comfortabel soft V-profiel en is voorzien van een ebben toets waarop de voor de 800-serie typische parelmoeren progressive diamond-inleg te vinden is. Zowel de body als de hals zijn afgewerkt met een witte binding, en op de headstock prijkt een palissander kopplaat.
Deze Taylor 814C uit 1996 verkeert in excellente conditie. De gitaar speelt soepel en heeft een prachtige ingespeelde open sound met een goede definitie en balans. Op het bovenblad zijn lichte speelsporen en enkele dings te vinden, en ook op de stemmechanieken zijn gebruikssporen zichtbaar. Daarnaast is de witte binding op sommige plaatsen ietwat vergeeld, en zijn er op de binding van de hals enkele haarscheurtjes in de binding te vinden.
De gitaar is verder zeer schoon, het is duidelijk dat deze Taylor in zijn 28-jarige leven goed behandeld is. Hij is dan ook klaar voor nog vele jaren speelplezier!
The Taylor 814C is an exceptionally versatile guitar, its Grand Auditorium body shape making it wonderfully comfortable to play. Crafted with the classic combination of Indian rosewood and Sitka spruce, it boasts a warm, full sound suitable for a variety of musical genres and playing styles.
The mahogany neck has a comfortable soft V-profile and features an ebony fingerboard with the pearloid progressive diamond inlays typical of the 800 series. Both the body and neck are finished with white binding, and the headstock features a rosewood headstock overlay.
This 1996 Taylor 814C is in excellent condition. The guitar plays smoothly and has a beautifully played, open sound with good definition and balance. There are light playwear and a few dings on the top, and signs of use are also visible on the tuners. Additionally, the white binding is slightly yellowed in places, and there are a few hairline cracks in the neck binding.
The guitar is otherwise very clean; it's clear that this Taylor has been well-treated over its 28 years. It's ready for many more years of enjoyment!

Der Mahagonihals hat ein angenehmes, weiches V-Profil und ein Ebenholzgriffbrett mit den für die 800er-Serie typischen Perlmutt-Progressive-Diamond-Inlays. Korpus und Hals sind mit einem weißen Binding versehen, die Kopfplatte mit einer Palisander-Kopfplattenauflage.
Diese Taylor 814C aus dem Jahr 1996 befindet sich in ausgezeichnetem Zustand. Die Gitarre spielt sich geschmeidig und hat einen wunderbar gespielten, offenen Klang mit guter Definition und Balance. Sie weist leichte Spielspuren und einige Dellen auf der Decke auf, und auch an den Mechaniken sind Gebrauchsspuren erkennbar. Das weiße Binding ist stellenweise leicht vergilbt, und im Halsbinding befinden sich einige Haarrisse.
Die Gitarre ist ansonsten sehr sauber. man merkt, dass diese Taylor in ihren 28 Jahren gut behandelt wurde. Sie ist bereit für viele weitere Jahre voller Freude!
