Deze Eastman AC222CE laat de traditionele akoestische gitaarontwerpen achter zich en geeft de speler een moderne gitaar met comfort en bespeelbaarheid als prioriteit.
De Grand Auditorium bodyvorm is erg comfortabel en de cutaway geeft toegang tot alle frets waardoor de gitaar een maximaal toonbereik heeft. De hals heeft een toegankelijke C-vorm waardoor het instrument makkelijk te bespelen is. De achter- en zijkanten zijn gemaakt van Ovangkol, wat familie is van palissander, maar met rijkere middentonen en minder geprononceerde hoge tonen, die vaak te uitgesproken zijn bij palissander.
Deze gitaar is gemaakt van massief hout en klinkt erg goed voor een gitaar in deze prijsklasse. Het geluid heeft een rijk en krachtig laag, een mooi midden en een verfijnd hoog.
