De AF2000 is een hollowbody uit de Artstar Serie van Ibanez. De gitaar wordt gefabriceerd in Japan in de fabriek van FujiGen en is onderdeel van de luxere Prestige-serie. De gitaar verving in 2021 de AF200 met als meest opvallende verbetering een nieuwe 'roasted' esdoorn hals.
Deze volledig holle gitaar heeft een top van sparrenhout en een klankkast van 'figured' anigré, een loofhoutsoort die zijn oorsprong vindt in Afrika. De hals is driedelig en gemaakt van Afrikaans mahonie en zogenaamd 'S-tech-roasted' edoorn. Bij deze behandeling wordt het hout verhit waardoor het vochtgehalte zakt en het hout stabieler wordt. Hierdoor is de gitaar minder vatbaar voor veranderingen in luchtvochtigheid en temperatuur.
De gitaar heeft twee humbuckers met elk een eigen set van volume- en tooncontroles. De brug is vervaardigd uit ebbenhout, net als de toets. Deze is ingelegd met abalone/acryl positiemarkeringen. De gehele gitaar is afgewerkt met een ivoroid binding. Geleverd in een koffer.
