Voortbouwend op Dana's bijna een halve eeuw lutherie-ervaring, is de Touchstone-serie ontworpen om de legendarische Bourgeois-klank en bouwkwaliteit te leveren aan een breder scala aan spelers dan ooit tevoren.
Bourgeois Touchstone D Vintage/TS
Om te beginnen zal de Touchstone-serie bestaan uit twee modellen, de OM Vintage en de D Vintage, die beide zijn voorzien van een bovenblad van massief Alaskan Sitka-sparrenhout en een achter- en zijkanten van massief Indisch palissander.
Bourgeois stuurt de reeds voiced tops vanuit Amerika, waarna de gitaren in China in elkaar worden gezet door een selecte groep Eastman gitaarbouwers die getraind zijn in de aloude bouwtechnieken van Dana Bourgeois. De gitaren gaan vervolgens terug naar Lewiston, Maine voor een laatste inspectie en worden afgesteld voordat ze worden verzonden.
Strumming produceert een heldere klank en flatpicking single-note lijnen zorgen voor een geweldige balans. De gitaar heeft de punch en het volume die je verwacht van een goede dreadnought, en een uitstekende set-up maakt hem verslavend om te spelen.
Al met al voldoet de D Vintage/TS niet alleen aan de verwachting van de samenwerking tussen Bourgeois en Eastman, hij vertegenwoordigt ook een fantastische keus in de middenklasse dreadnoughts. Wordt geleverd in een koffer met TFOA paspoort.
