Zelfs bij hoge gain-instellingen behoudt Black Magic mk2 de volledige helderheid en definitie en kun je de gain verminderen met de volumeknop van je gitaar. Met een aparte boost schakelaar kun je ervoor kiezen om versterking, volume of beide te boosten voor de solo zonder dat je de instellingen direct hoeft te wijzigen.
