De popcultuur van de 20e eeuw maakt een groot deel uit van wie Diego Vila is, en dit wordt weerspiegeld in zijn gitaren. Van de moderne mid-century offset-ontwerpen tot het tortoise en de grote acteurs en leading ladies die de namen van elk van zijn gitaren inspireren.
De Austral gitaar is een echt 'werkpaard' dat voldoet aan de hoogste eisen. Deze 'Simone' heeft een offset elzenhouten body met relic en twee humbuckers. Diego voegde ook enkele esthetische accenten toe die verwijzen naar zijn roots. De herringbone rond de slagplaat verwijst naar Spanje, het land waar hij zijn gitaren bouwt. De Coral flower op de neck plate, die hij heeft aangepast en samengevoegd met vuur, is het nationale symbool van zijn geboorteland, Argentinië.
Deze verfijnde maar ook ruige, verouderde look wordt passend aangevuld met een stevige C-vormige esdoornhals, Pau Ferro toets en een rechttoe rechtaan bedieningslay-out van een enkele volume en toon en een 3-standen schakelaar.
