Eastman E8D TC Thermo Cured
Eastman is toonaangevend in hun klasse met hen uitstekende afwerking, klank en kwaliteit. Van de handgeselecteerde houtsoorten, de vele details tot het afwerkingsniveau; bij Eastman krijgt elk instrument de aandacht die het verdient.
Dit instrument is de Dreadnought zoals velen hem willen en hebben, een Sitka sparren top op een palissander body. Wat deze gitaar onderscheid is het gebruik van vol-massieve houtsoorten over de hele gitaar, niet alleen de top en de body, maar ook de brug en de toets zijn van écht ebben. Dit draagt bij aan de klank en zal er bovendien voor zorgen dat de gitaar mooier gaat klinken hoe langer je hem hebt, het hout groeit en leeft tenslotte nog.
Kortom, dit is de E8D zoals we hem kennen. Máár, met een twist! Deze dreadnought heeft namelijk een "Thermo Cured" top. Dit houdt in dat het hout is blootgesteld aan hitte en druk voor het bouwen, waar het in dit proces een groot deel van zijn vocht al verliest. Het resultaat is een gitaar met een ingespeeld karakter en de gewilde klank-kwaliteiten van een vintage instrument.
Om hem af te werken heeft de gitaar ook een Gloss Nitrocellulose lak, dit zorgt ervoor dat het hout goed kan blijven 'ademen' en er meer klank uitkomt, dit is een finish die normaliter niet op dergelijke gitaren voorkomt.

What distinguishes this guitar is the use of full-solid woods over the entire guitar, not only the top and the body, but also the bridge and the fretboard are made out of real Ebony. This contributes to the sound and will also ensure that the guitar sounds more beautiful the longer you have her. After all, the wood is still growing.

This ensures that the wood is exposed to heat and pressure, so that it has already lost most of its moisture in the process. The result is a guitar with a played-in character, with the sound qualities of an older vintage instrument.
The guitar also has a Gloss Nitrocellulose finish, which ensures that the wood can continue to 'breathe' properly and that more tone comes out, this is a finish that normally does not occur on such guitars.
