Earthquaker Devices Special Cranker
De Earthquaker Devices Special Cranker is een volledig analoog overdrivepedaal om het signaal net dat beetje extra's te geven zonder de toon van de versterker drastisch te veranderen. De natuurlijke dynamiek, nuances en klank van de versterker blijft hierdoor behouden.
Het pedaal werkt als het ware als een extra voorversterkerbuis; enkele noten zullen voller klinken, meer hamonieën en meer sustain hebben, terwijl powerakkoorden dikker zullen klinken met wat meer crunch. Complexe akkoorden houden door het ontwerp van het pedaal hun duidelijkheid.
Het pedaal is door middel van een Level-, Tone- en More-draaiknop in te stellen, waarbij de laatste een gain-controle is. Door middel van een schakelaar kan er daarnaast een keuze gemaakt worden tussen een Germanium- of Silicon-transistor.
