De Gibson ES345 heeft een aantal esthetische verbeteringen ten opzichte van het vlaggenschip ES335. Vervaardigd met een esdoorn centerblock en kwartiers gezaagde Adirondack sparren bracing, zullen spelers onder de indruk zijn van het lichte gevoel en het uitgebreide scala aan tonale mogelijkheden.
De body is omwikkeld met meerlaagse binding en de gebonden toets heeft Split Parallelogram inleg exclusief voor dit model in de ES-serie. De ES345 is uitgerust met een verscheidenheid aan high-end kenmerken, zoals de handbedrade 'control assebemly' met Orange Drop-condensatoren, Gibson's nieuwe gekalibreerde T-Type humbucking-pickups, Vintage Deluxe-stijl stemmechanieken en lichtgewicht aluminium ABR-1-brug en Stop Bar-staartstuk verankerd met stalen thumb-wheels en studs.
