De Les Paul Custom 70s brengt een van Gibson’s meest iconische periodes terug. Oorspronkelijk in 1953 geïntroduceerd als de “smoking”-versie van de Les Paul en in de jaren 70 verfijnd, belichaamt dit model de stijl en sound die een generatie heeft gedefinieerd.

De ebbenhouten toets is voorzien van parelmoeren blokinlays, terwijl de headstock de klassieke Split Diamond-inlay draagt die synoniem is geworden met de Custom. Goudkleurige hardware, Witch Hat-knoppen en uitgebreide multi-ply binding maken de vintage look compleet. After its single-cutaway design was replaced in 1961 by the SG Custom, the model returned in 1968 and became a cornerstone of Gibson’s lineup. In the 1970s, production moved to Nashville and the Custom evolved with new features, including a three-piece maple top, maple neck, and distinctive cosmetic details. Today, these 70s Customs are among the most sought-after vintage Gibsons.
The new Les Paul Custom 70s brings this iconic era back, featuring a mahogany body with a three-piece maple top, 5-ply/3-ply binding, and a maple neck with a volute and 70s profile. The bound ebony fingerboard is fitted with 22 medium jumbo frets and mother-of-pearl block inlays, while the headstock carries the classic Split Diamond inlay. Gold hardware includes an aluminum Nashville Tune-O-Matic bridge, Stop Bar tailpiece, Grover Rotomatic tuners, and Posi-Lok strap locks, matched with 70s-style Witch Hat knobs.
For tone, it’s equipped with calibrated T-Type humbuckers, wired with Orange Drop capacitors for authentic vintage sound. Finished in gloss nitrocellulose lacquer and available in Ebony, Tobacco Burst, Wine Red, or Buttercream, each guitar ships in a hardshell case. The Les Paul Custom 70s delivers the style, sound, and feel of one of Gibson’s most legendary decades.

Das gebundene Ebenholzgriffbrett ist mit 22 Medium-Jumbo-Bünden und Perlmutt-Block-Inlays ausgestattet, während die Kopfplatte das klassische Split-Diamond-Inlay trägt. Zur goldenen Hardware gehören eine Aluminium-Nashville-Tune-O-Matic-Brücke, ein Stop-Bar-Saitenhalter, Grover-Rotomatic-Mechaniken und Posi-Lok-Gurtverschlüsse, die mit Witch-Hat-Knöpfen im Stil der 70er Jahre kombiniert sind.
Für den Klang ist sie mit kalibrierten T-Type-Humbuckern ausgestattet, die mit Orange Drop-Kondensatoren für einen authentischen Vintage-Sound verdrahtet sind.
