With the 70's Les Paul Goldtop, Gibson revolutionized the specifications of the iconic model. Until then, the model was equipped with P90 pickups, but due to the demand for pickups that caused less hum, these were replaced by the smaller version of the regular humbuckers. The smaller size gives them a clear and focused tone.
This Les Paul is made of mahogany and finished with a maple top. Because the body is completely solid, the guitar has a robust weight of 4.1 KG. Finished with a cream colored binding and hardware that is true to the spirit of the times from which the guitar originated, this results in a stylish look for this classic from the guitar history. Comes in a hardshell case.
