De L00 werd door Gibson geïntroduceerd in de jaren '30, en was jarenlang dé standaard binnen de industrie. Deze L00 Standard vangt de erfenis van deze voorbeeldige vroege exemplaren prachtig. Deze L00 heeft een perfecte balans en een ongeëvenaarde projectie die je niet snel vindt in vergelijkbare gitaren met een kleine body.
Deze L00 Standard maakt gebruik van een klassieke combinatie klankhoutsoorten, zo heeft dit model een mahonie klankkast, Sitka sparren bovenblad, een mahonie hals met palissander toets en een korte mensuur. Het Sitka sparren bovenblad is bovendien voorzien van hand scalloped X-bracing.
De gitaar wordt geleverd in een koffer.
