De AG is de nieuwste toevoeging aan het assortiment van McIlroy! Het model is gebaseerd op het bestaande A-serie, een middelgrote Jumbo die ook bekend staat als Auditoriumgitaar. De AG is ten opzichte van dit model ongeveer 7 mm dunner, maar heeft wel dezelfde bodyomtrek als de A. Dit maakt de AG nóg comfortabeler om te bespelen, en dat zonder in te leveren op het gebied van lage tonen.
Het Italiaans sparren bovenblad wordt vergezeld door een prachtig getekend Amazon palissander achter- en zijkanten, waarbij de ebbenhouten binding en de purfling van esdoorn, ebben en Santos palissander zorgen voor de detaillering. De rozet bestaat uit palissander, esdoorn en Paua abalone, en geeft de body extra sierlijkheid mee.
De vijfdelige hals is gemaakt van mahonie, esdoorn en palissander, en heeft een ebbenhouten toets en kopplaat. Ook hier spreekt de prachtige afwerking tot de verbeelding; esdoorn purfling is zichtbaar op de toets en de kop, terwijl de 12e fret is versierd met een prachtige abalone Keltische knoop inleg.
De gitaar wordt met echtheidscertificaat geleverd in een koffer van Hiscox.
The AG is the latest addition to the McIlroy range! The model is based on the existing A-series, a medium-sized Jumbo also known as Auditorium guitar. The AG is approximately 7 mm thinner than this model, but has the same body outline shape as the A. This makes the AG even more comfortable to play, without sacrificing bass.
The Italian spruce top is accompanied by a beautifully figured Amazon rosewood back and sides, with the ebony binding and the purfling of maple, ebony and Santos rosewood providing the detailing. The rosette is made of rosewood, maple and Paua abalone, and gives the body extra grace.
The five-piece neck is made of mahogany, maple and rosewood, and has an ebony fingerboard and headstock. Here too, the beautiful finish appeals to the imagination; Maple purfling is visible on the fingerboard and headstock, while the 12th fret is decorated with a beautiful abalone Celtic Knot inlay.
The guitar comes with a certificate of authenticity in a Hiscox hardshell case.
Der AG ist die neueste Ergänzung der McIlroy-Reihe! Das Modell basiert auf der bestehenden A-Serie, einer mittelgroßen Jumbo-Gitarre, auch bekannt als Auditorium-Gitarre. Der AG ist ca. 7 mm dünner als dieses Modell, hat aber die gleiche Korpuskonturform wie der A. Dadurch lässt sich der AG noch komfortabler spielen, ohne Einbußen beim Bass hinnehmen zu müssen.
Die Decke aus italienischer Fichte wird von einem wunderschön gemaserten Boden und Zargen aus Amazonas-Palisander begleitet, wobei die Einfassung aus Ebenholz und die Einlage aus Ahorn, Ebenholz und Santos-Palisander für die Details sorgen. Die Rosette besteht aus Palisander, Ahorn und Paua-Abalone und verleiht dem Korpus zusätzliche Anmut.
Der fünfteilige Hals besteht aus Mahagoni, Ahorn und Palisander und hat ein Griffbrett und eine Kopfplatte aus Ebenholz. Auch hier regt die schöne Verarbeitung die Fantasie an; Auf dem Griffbrett und der Kopfplatte sind Ahorneinlagen sichtbar, während der 12. Bund mit einer wunderschönen Einlage aus keltischem Abalone-Knoten verziert ist.
Die Gitarre wird mit einem Echtheitszertifikat in einem Hiscox-Hartschalenkoffer geliefert.
