Ontworpen in samenwerking met indie-pedaalbouwer Analog Man, is de MXR Duke of Tone Overdrive voor spelers die een vleugje warmte en grit aan hun rig willen toevoegen, terwijl ze de natuurlijke klank en het gevoel van hun high-end uitrusting willen laten schitteren.
Gebaseerd op de Prince of Tone Overdrive, de eenkanaalsversie van de King of Tone Overdrive, is dit pedaal de droom van een vintage kenner die uitkomt.
De Duke of Tone Overdrive heeft een eenvoudige maar effectieve bedieningsinterface. Volume-, Drive- en Tone-knoppen geven je alle basis controls, terwijl je met de Boost/OD/Distortion-schakelaar de algehele houding van de output van het pedaal kunt instellen. De Boost-modus geeft je een clean-yet-vigorous schep erbovenop, de OD-modus voegt een vleugje grit en compressie toe, en de Distortion-modus voegt een beetje meer van elk toe. In alle modi klinkt je rig nog steeds als je rig.
Wees niet bang om creatief te zijn: de Duke of Tone Overdrive is uitstekend wanneer hij wordt gestacked met andere gain-pedalen, en als je het pedaal op 18V laat draaien, krijg je een extra portie headroom en helderheid, vooral in de Boost-modus.

The Duke of Tone Overdrive carries forward a simple-yet-effective control interface. Volume, Drive, and Tone knobs cover all your basic tweaks while the Boost/OD/Distortion switch allows you to set the overall attitude of the pedal’s output. Boost mode gives you a clean-yet-vigorous bump, OD mode adds a touch of grit and compression, and Distortion mode adds a touch more of each. In all modes, your rig still sounds like your rig.
