Het slope shoulder jumbo-formaat is een knipoog naar de klassieke Gibson-ontwerpen uit de jaren '30 en '40, maar Santa Cruz heeft de vorm verfijnd en geoptimaliseerd met moderne bouwtechnieken en jarenlange ervaring!
De combinatie van massief mahonie voor de klankkast en Sitka sparren voor het bovenblad zorgt voor een rijke, gebalanceerde klank met een warme bas en heldere, gearticuleerde hoge tonen. De scalloped X-bracing geeft het bovenblad de vrijheid om optimaal te resoneren, terwijl de iets grotere klankkast ten opzichte van een traditionele slope shoulder meer volume en projectie oplevert zonder de karakteristieke warmte te verliezen!
Het C-profiel van de mahonie hals ligt comfortabel in de hand en biedt uitstekende bespeelbaarheid, ondersteund door een ebben toets met prachtige mother of pearl Doppler dots-inleg. Die Ebenholz-Kopfplattenauflage und die fachmännische Lackierung, die Santa Cruz konsequent umsetzt, runden das Bild eines Instruments ab, das nicht nur fantastisch klingt, sondern auch optisch überzeugt. Die Gitarre wird in einem Hartschalenkoffer mit TFOA-Pass geliefert.
