Smitty Guitars combineert de moderne technologie met old school vakmanschap, daarbij gebruik makend van de beste klankhoutsoorten. Voor deze Custom gebouwde Model 1 heeft bouwer Eric Smid flink uitgepakt en de gitaar met de hand beschilderd; zo prijkt op de body een geschilderde versie van een hond, en hieraan ontleent de 'Blues Dog' dan ook zijn naam!
De gitaar is opgebouwd uit een mahonie body en een top van gevlamd koa, en door de thinline-constructie is het gewicht van deze gitaar onder de drie kilogram gebleven. De hals is eveneens van gevlamd esdoorn, en is voorzien van een palissander toets met een 9.5 inch radius. De gitaar speelt licht en is zeer resonant, en beschikt door door de combinatie van een humbucker en een P90 ook nog eens over een ruime hoeveelheid sounds.
Deze gebruikte Smitty heeft wat lichte speelsporen en enkele dings op de body, maar verkeert in excellente conditie. De gitaar wordt met TFOA paspoort geleverd in een gigbag.
Smitty Guitars combines modern technology with old-school craftsmanship, using the best tonewoods. For this custom-built Model 1, luthier Eric Smid went all out and hand-painted the guitar; the body, for instance, features a painted version of a dog, which gives the 'Blues Dog' its name!
The guitar consists of a mahogany body and a top of flamed koa, and its thinline construction keeps its weight below three kilograms. The neck is also made of flamed maple, and features a rosewood fingerboard with a 9.5-inch radius. The guitar plays light and is very resonant, and due to the combination of a humbucker and a P90, it also features an ample amount of sounds.
This used Smitty has some light playing marks and some dings on the body, but is in excellent condition. The guitar comes with TFOA passport in a gig bag.
Smitty Guitars kombiniert moderne Technologie mit Handwerkskunst der alten Schule und verwendet die besten Tonhölzer. Bei diesem maßgefertigten Modell 1 ging der Gitarrenbauer Eric Smid aufs Ganze und bemalte die Gitarre von Hand; auf dem Korpus befindet sich zum Beispiel eine gemalte Version eines Hundes, die der "Blues Dog" ihren Namen gibt!
Die Gitarre besteht aus einem Mahagoni-Korpus und einer Decke aus geflammtem Koa und wiegt dank der Thinline-Konstruktion weniger als drei Kilogramm. Der Hals ist ebenfalls aus geflammtem Ahorn gefertigt und hat ein Palisandergriffbrett mit einem 9,5-Zoll-Radius. Die Gitarre spielt sich leicht und ist sehr resonant, und dank der Kombination aus einem Humbucker und einem P90 bietet sie auch eine Fülle von Sounds.
Diese gebrauchte Smitty hat einige leichte Spielspuren und einige Dellen am Korpus, ist aber in einem sehr guten Zustand. Die Gitarre wird mit TFOA-Pass in einer Gigbag geliefert.
