De Custom 24 is de ultieme PRS gitaar. Deze iconische gitaar was het eerste model dat Paul Reed Smith meebracht naar de eerste Winter NAMM van PRS in 1985 en is sindsdien niet meer weg te denken uit de line-up van PRS.

Deze PRS Custom 24 uit 2003 is met zijn speelsporen en aangepaste elektronica een echte player. Op de body zijn speelsporen en dings te vinden, en op meerdere plaatsen bevindt zich lucht onder lak. De rotary-schakelaar is vervangen door een conventionele drieweg-schakelaar, en de volume- en toonpotmeter hebben beide een push/pull-functie die de humbuckers splitten voor nog meer tonale variatie.
De gitaar wordt met TFOA paspoort geleverd in een koffer.
