Crossovers

The crossover guitar is a recent type of guitar that has become popular in recent years. The concept began with the development of the electro-classical guitar, where classical and flamenco guitars were fitted with a cutaway and electronics. The next step was to introduce a guitar with a narrower, slightly curved neck. Although this idea initially seemed foreign to some purists, many guitarists were soon convinced of its advantages.

This hybrid guitar was originally designed for electric and acoustic guitarists who found the necks of classical or flamenco guitars too wide or flat for their playing style. Guitarists with smaller hands or those seeking a more comfortable neck than that of a classical guitar also find these guitars suitable for them.
