Santa Cruz FTC Flamed Maple German Spruce
Ter ere van het 40-jarig jubileum van Santa Cruz Guitar Company besloot Richard in 2016 een geliefd ouder model opnieuw in productie te nemen voor een gelimiteerde oplage van twaalf gitaren. Vanwege de geweldige reacties keerde het FTC-model in 2017 terug in de SCGC-catalogus als standaardmodel.
Het FTC-model is echt iets bijzonders. Hij heeft een jumbo-body, maar zonder de diepe body. Het is dus een grote gitaar, die tegelijkertijd compact en gemakkelijk te bespelen is. Hij heeft een gewelfde achterkant van gevlamd esdoorn en een vlak bovenblad van Duits sparrenhout. Hij produceert een prachtige, evenwichtige klank. Voor een gitaar met een esdoorn body klinkt hij verrassend vol en warm. Hij levert kristalheldere tonen wanneer je fingerstyle speelt en wanneer je begint te strummen, kan hij zeker luid klinken! De cutaway is de finishing touch die deze FTC tot een absolute winnaar maakt op het gebied van veelzijdigheid.
En de gitaarbouwers van Santa Cruz zijn niet alleen meesters in het maken van een prachtig klinkende gitaar, hij ziet er ook nog eens geweldig uit! De sunburst-afwerking is absoluut schitterend en met luxe details zoals de Deco-inleg in de toets is het ook een lust voor het oog.

To commemorate the 40th anniversary of Santa Cruz Guitar Company, Richard decided to bring a favorite older model back into production for a limited run of twelve guitars in 2016. Due to the wonderful response, the FTC model returned to the SCGC catalog as a standard model in 2017.
The FTC model is truly something special. It has a jumbo-sized body, but without the deep body. So it's a big guitar, that is compact and easy to play at the same time. It has a carved flamed maple back and flat top made out of German spruce. It produces a wonderful balanced tone. For a maple-bodied guitar, it already sounds surprisingly full and warm. It delivers crystal clear tones when you play fingestyle and when you start strumming, it can get loud! The cutaway is the finishing touch which makes this FTC a definite winner in terms of versatility.
And the luthiers at Santa Cruz are not only masters in creating a wonderful sounding guitar, it also looks amazing! The sunburst finish looks absolutely gorgeous and with luxurious details such as the Deco fingerboard inlay, it is also a feast for the eyes.

Anlässlich des 40-jährigen Jubiläums der Santa Cruz Guitar Company beschloss Richard, ein beliebtes älteres Modell für eine limitierte Auflage von zwölf Gitarren im Jahr 2016 wieder in Produktion zu nehmen. Aufgrund der großartigen Resonanz kehrte das FTC-Modell 2017 als Standardmodell in den SCGC-Katalog zurück.
Das FTC-Modell ist wirklich etwas Besonderes. Es hat einen Jumbo-Korpus, aber ohne die tiefe Korpusform. Es handelt sich also um eine große Gitarre, die gleichzeitig kompakt und leicht zu spielen ist. Sie hat einen geschnitzten Boden aus geflammtem Ahorn und eine flache Decke aus deutscher Fichte. Sie erzeugt einen wunderbar ausgewogenen Klang. Für eine Gitarre mit Ahornkorpus klingt sie überraschend voll und warm. Sie liefert kristallklare Töne, wenn man sie mit den Fingern spielt, und wenn man anfängt zu strummen, kann sie richtig laut werden! Der Cutaway ist das i-Tüpfelchen, das diese FTC in Sachen Vielseitigkeit zu einem absoluten Gewinner macht.
Die Gitarrenbauer bei Santa Cruz sind nicht nur Meister darin, eine wunderbar klingende Gitarre zu bauen, sie sieht auch noch fantastisch aus! Das Sunburst-Finish sieht absolut umwerfend aus und mit luxuriösen Details wie dem Deco-Griffbrett-Inlay ist sie auch eine Augenweide.
