Martin unlocks the sonic beauty of durable tonewood with the brand new GPCE Inception Maple. It is the result of years of research and development.
Combining nature and technology, this pioneering acoustic-electric guitar features 'skeletonised scalloped' bracing and sonic channels for increased resonance and superior tone. This technology was created specifically for this model's special tonewoods.
The skeletonised bracing and sonic channels in the GPCE Inception work together to increase sustain and amplitude, optimise airflow and reduce the guitar's mass without losing structural support, making maple sound better than ever before!
During the final design phase, the GPCE Inception was measured using spectral analysis. By measuring the instrument's frequency response, they were able to identify the sonic impact of its unique design features. In doing so, they showed that skeletonised bracing increases sustain and sonic channels increase amplitude. Normally, you lose amplitude when you increase sustain or vice versa; the GPCE Inception's unique design features increase both.
Durable & Versatile
The GPCE Inception Maple is made from a combination of sustainable woods, including an FSC-certified European spruce top, maple sides and a distinctive three-piece back of maple and walnut, providing a bright, projective and balanced tone.
In addition, Martin has added a number of upgrades, making this GPCE Inception Maple a versatile and complete instrument. The cutaway ensures easy playability at the upper frets, while the built-in LR Baggs Anthem pickup also makes it a suitable choice in the studio or on stage. Wherever you go and whatever the setting, the GPCE Inception Maple goes with you!

Playability
The cutaway gives you plenty of freedom over the entire fingerboard, which features a gorgeous maple Arrow/Hex Design.
