De Magpie is een gitaar van het small jumbo-formaat, en over één ding kunnen we zeer kort zijn: wat klinkt hij fascinerend mooi! De gitaar is door zijn lichte constructie bijzonder resonant en responsief, en is bij uitstek geschikt voor verfijnde fingerpicking, hoewel ook gestrumde akkoorden prachtig klinken. De combinatie van een Alpine sparren bovenblad en de palissander klankkast levert een heldere en uitgesproken klank op, met ook een diepe bas voor een mooie gebalanceerde sound.
Ook op visueel gebied is de Magpie een prachtige gitaar, en we moeten bij het zien van de gitaar meteen denken aan vergelijkbare bouwers zoals Turnstone, Chickadee en Dion Guitars. Hoe langer je naar de gitaar kijkt, hoe meer je ziet! De verfijnde details bevinden zich op zowel de hals; van de prachtige houtsoorten op de rozet en inleg op de onderkant van de klankkast tot de sierlijke hiel, volute en inleg op de ebben headstock. Geen onderdeel van de gitaar heeft zomaar zijn vorm gekregen, een gitaar als deze doet de grenzen tussen instrument en kunst vervagen.
De gitaar is gebouwd in 2023, en en verkeert nog in nieuwstaat. De gitaar wordt met TFOA paspoort geleverd in een koffer van Hiscox.

The Magpie is a small jumbo guitar, and we can be very brief about one thing: it sounds fascinatingly beautiful! The guitar is particularly resonant and responsive due to its lightweight construction, and is ideally suited for refined fingerpicking, although strummed chords also sound beautiful. The combination of an Alpine spruce top and rosewood back and sides produces a clear and pronounced sound, with a deep bass for a beautifully balanced sound.
Visually, the Magpie is also a beautiful guitar, and when we see the guitar we immediately think of similar builders such as Turnstone, Chickadee and Dion Guitars. The longer you look at the guitar, the more you see! The refined details are on both the neck; from the beautiful wood types on the rosette and inlays on the bottom of the body to the graceful heel, volute and inlay on the ebony headstock. No part of the guitar has been given its shape by chance, a guitar like this blurs the boundaries between instrument and art.
The guitar was built in 2023, and is still in mint condition. The guitar comes with TFOA passport in a Hiscox hardshell case.

Die Gitarre wurde 2023 gebaut und befindet sich noch immer in neuwertigem Zustand. Sie wird mit TFOA-Pass in einem Hiscox-Hartschalenkoffer geliefert.
