Bourgeois heeft deze in sunburst gefinishte D DB Signature niet voor niks "Dana Bourgeois Signature" genoemd; de gitaar belicht een aantal design elementen die uniek zijn voor Dana. De DB Signature herringbone is prachtig, en alleen bij Bourgeois te verkrijgen. Met 3 soorten hout van donker naar licht ontstaat een zeer aantrekkelijk patroon dat perfect past bij de schitterende koa binding.
De Bourgeois D is voorzien van schitterende houtsoorten, waarbij de klankkast van Madagascar palissander onmiddellijk in het oog springt. Het breedgenerfde bovenblad van Adirondack sparren voorziet de gitaar van een heldere klank met ruim voldoende volume. De hals van Hondurees palissander beschikt daarnaast over een comfortabel soft V-profiel. Met een ziricote kopplaat, traditionele Squares & Diamond-inleg gemaakt van been en goudkleurige Waverly stemmechanieken met snakewood knoppen stroomt deze gitaar bijna over van stijlvolle premium details.
