PRS Mark Tremonti MT15 V2 Head

De MT 15 werd oorspronkelijk ontwikkeld met zwaardere muziek in gedachten, maar uiteindelijk biedt hij verrassend veel voor gitaristen van allerlei genres. Net als de PRS Archon beschikt hij over vijf gain-stages vóór de master volume, wat zorgt voor een rijke, verzadigde distortion. Het leadkanaal levert een dikke, strakke low end en volle sustain, zonder in te leveren op articulatie. Dankzij de push/pull overdrive control kun je twee gain-stages uitschakelen voor een vintage mid-gain sound met meer crunch. Het cleankanaal is helder en sprankelend, ideaal voor akkoorden of fingerstyle, en heeft ook een push/pull boost voor een lichte overdrive met een klassieke edge.

Welke toon je ook instelt, de MT 15 blijft mooi in balans over het hele spectrum en klinkt altijd muzikaal zonder scherp te worden. De effects loop en de van buitenaf bereikbare bias adjusters maken onderhoud eenvoudig. En hoewel hij officieel 15 watt levert, klinkt hij als een 50-watter. Dankzij de half-power switch kun je hem ook terugschakelen naar 7 watt voor thuisgebruik of kleinere settings. The MT 15 may have been designed with heavier players in mind, but its versatile voicing makes it a great fit for guitarists of all genres. Like the PRS Archon, it uses five gain stages before the master volume, delivering lush, saturated distortion. The lead channel offers huge, tight low end and rich sustain, while still retaining excellent note definition. A push/pull overdrive control on this channel removes two gain stages, offering a crunchier, vintage-inspired mid-gain tone. The clean channel is bright and articulate, perfect for strumming or fingerstyle, and also includes a push/pull boost for added grit when you need it.

Whether you’re looking for modern high gain or classic clean tones with character, the MT 15 stays balanced and musical across the entire tonal spectrum. Extra features like the effects loop and accessible rear-panel bias adjusters make it easy to service and integrate into your setup. And though it’s rated at just 15 watts, it sounds more like a full 50. Thankfully, there’s a half-power switch to drop it down to 7 watts for more manageable volume. With big tone, smart features, and serious punch, the MT 15 is a compact amp that plays in the heavyweight class.
