Vanuit het hoofdkwartier in Alphen aan de Rijn worden deze vintage-geïnspireerde gitaren zorgvuldig voorzien van een prachtig verouderde look die het instrument een ingespeeld gevoel geven. Bij Kauffmann noemen ze dit de Time Travel Treatment, ook wel bekend als de 'TTT'.
Deze Kauffmann is een eerbetoon aan het erfgoed van het T-model in zijn meest pure vorm, de Esquire. Een magisch ontwerp dat nog steeds even relevant is als toen het voor het eerst uitkwam! Deze gitaar heeft dat goed bespeelde gevoel zoals een echte oude gitaar. Een van de redenen is de Heavy Aged Bull Black afwerking, die de gitaar zijn kenmerkende vintage look geeft. De paulownia body is niet alleen ontzettend licht van gewicht, maar ook ongelofelijk resonant!
De gitaar speelt als boter door het C-vormige halsprofiel en de 9.5 inch toets. Het geluid is ook nog eens weergaloos en onmiskenbaar dankzij Kauffmann's eigen SOW Single Coil brug pickup. Met gemak twangt deze gitaar door de mix en doet er door het speciale Esquire-bedradingsschema nog een schepje bovenop! Kauffmann heeft de bedrading net andersom dan gebruikelijk: in de normaliter neck positie bypass je volume en toon, terwijl je in de brug positie wel volume en toon hebt.
Deze Kauffman heeft naast zijn verouderde finish slechts minimale speelsporen opgelopen, met name op zijn slagplaat. Hij ziet er nog bijzonder schoon uit en verkeert dan ook in excellente conditie. De gitaar wordt met TFOA paspoort geleverd in een gigbag.
From their headquarters in Alphen aan de Rijn, these vintage-inspired guitars are carefully given a beautifully aged look that provides a truly played-in feel. At Kauffmann, this process is known as the Time Travel Treatment, also referred to as TTT.
This Kauffmann is a tribute to the heritage of the T-model in its purest form: the Esquire. A magical design that remains just as relevant today as when it was first introduced. This guitar offers the broken-in feel of a genuine old instrument, thanks in large part to the Heavy Aged Bull Black finish, which gives it its distinctive vintage appearance. The paulownia body is not only incredibly lightweight, but also remarkably resonant.
The guitar plays effortlessly thanks to its comfortable C-shaped neck profile and 9.5-inch fingerboard radius. Its tone is equally outstanding and unmistakable, powered by Kauffmann’s own SOW Single Coil bridge pickup. This guitar cuts through the mix with ease, and the unique Esquire wiring takes things a step further. Kauffmann has reversed the traditional wiring layout: in the position normally reserved for the neck pickup, both volume and tone are bypassed, while the bridge position retains full volume and tone control.
Aside from its aged finish, this Kauffmann shows only minimal signs of playwear, mainly on the pickguard. It looks exceptionally clean and is in excellent condition. Supplied in a gigbag with a TFOA passport.

Auch klanglich überzeugt sie auf ganzer Linie – unverwechselbar und durchsetzungsstark, nicht zuletzt dank Kauffmanns eigenem SOW Single-Coil Steg-Pickup. Mühelos setzt sich die Gitarre im Mix durch, wobei das spezielle Esquire-Schaltungskonzept noch einen Schritt weiter geht. Kauffmann hat die Verdrahtung im Vergleich zur klassischen Ausführung umgekehrt: In der normalerweise für den Hals vorgesehenen Position werden Volume und Tone umgangen, während in der Stegposition Volume- und Tonregler aktiv sind.
Abgesehen von der gealterten Oberfläche weist diese Kauffmann nur minimale Spielspuren auf, hauptsächlich auf dem Schlagbrett. Sie präsentiert sich insgesamt sehr gepflegt und befindet sich in exzellentem Zustand. Geliefert wird die Gitarre im Gigbag inklusive TFOA-Passport.
