Martin Custom Shop OM45 Compass Sitka Spruce Flamed Koa 2021

​De Martin Custom Shop is voor de veeleisende gitarist die volledige controle wil over alle specificaties en het uiterlijk van het instrument. Met de visie van de klant, het vakmanschap van de bouwer en door het gebruik van de beste materialen weet de Martin Custom Shop altijd een perfecte gitaar af te leveren. De detaillering van deze instrumenten is van het hoogste niveau en het gevoel van het bespelen van een Custom Martin is simpelweg onvervangbaar!

De basis van dit meesterwerk is een OM45 die rijkelijk is gedecoreerd met abalone; deze sierlijke inleg is te vinden op het bovenblad, achterblad, zijkanten en zelfs langs de hiel. Maar als we de achterzijde van de gitaar zien we het échte pièce de résistance van deze gitaar; een prachtig ingelegd kompas bestaande uit diverse houtsoorten en abalone. Deze inleg is gebaseerd op de OM True North-serie die in 2016 door de Custom Shop werd gebouwd, en deze inleg maakt van deze gitaar een regelrecht kunstwerk!

Maar de 45-serie staat niet voor niets aan de top van Martins hiërarchie, met gitaren die naast het verfijnde inlegwerk ook het fijnste klankhout hebben! Zo heeft deze gitaar een klankkast die is gemaakt van prachtig gevlamd koa, met daarbij een Sitka sparren bovenblad van bijzonder hoge kwaliteit. Zowel de body als de hals zijn daarbij omlijnd door een Indisch palissander binding, met daarbij uiteraard een overdaad aan abalone inleg. Ook de ebben brug en toets hebben een extra inleg in de vorm van de klassieke Island Scroll.

De gitaar is zonder twijfel zorgvuldig gekoesterd door zijn eigenaar, want de gitaar is op uiterst minimale speelsporen op de achterzijde van de klankkast na niet van nieuw te onderscheiden! Wordt met Martin Custom Shop Certificaat geleverd in een koffer van TKL.

The detailing of these instruments is top-notch, and the feeling of playing a Custom Martin is simply irreplaceable!


The foundation of this masterpiece is an OM45 richly decorated with abalone; this ornate inlay can be found on the top, back, sides, and even along the heel. But when we look at the back of the guitar, we see the real pièce de résistance: a beautifully inlaid compass made of various woods and abalone. This inlay is based on the OM True North series, built by the Custom Shop in 2016, and it transforms this guitar into a true work of art!


But the 45 series sits at the top of Martin's hierarchy for good reason, with guitars that feature not only exquisite inlays but also the finest tonewoods! This guitar boasts a back and sides crafted from beautifully flamed koa, complemented by a Sitka spruce top of exceptionally high quality. Both the body and neck are framed by Indian rosewood binding, complete with a profusion of abalone inlays. The ebony bridge and fingerboard also feature an additional inlay in the shape of the classic Island Scroll.


This guitar has undoubtedly been carefully cherished by its owner, as it's indistinguishable from new, except for the very minimal playwear on the back of the body! It comes with a Martin Custom Shop Certificate and is delivered in a TKL hardshell case.

Die Basis dieses Meisterwerks bildet eine reich mit Abalone verzierte OM45; diese kunstvolle Einlage findet sich auf der Decke, dem Boden, den Zargen und sogar entlang des Halses. Doch auf der Rückseite der Gitarre entdecken wir das wahre Glanzstück: einen wunderschön eingelegten Kompass aus verschiedenen Hölzern und Abalone. Diese Einlage basiert auf der OM True North-Serie, die 2016 im Custom Shop gebaut wurde, und macht diese Gitarre zu einem wahren Kunstwerk!


Die 45er-Serie steht aus gutem Grund an der Spitze der Martin-Hierarchie: Ihre Gitarren bestechen nicht nur durch exquisite Einlagen, sondern auch durch feinste Tonhölzer! Diese Gitarre besticht durch Boden und Zargen aus wunderschön geflammtem Koa, ergänzt durch eine Decke aus Sitka-Fichte von außergewöhnlich hoher Qualität. Korpus und Hals sind von einem Binding aus indischem Palisander umrahmt, das mit zahlreichen Abalone-Einlagen versehen ist. Steg und Griffbrett aus Ebenholz weisen zusätzlich eine Einlage in Form der klassischen Island Scroll auf.


Diese Gitarre wurde von ihrem Besitzer zweifellos sorgfältig gehegt und gepflegt, da sie bis auf die minimalen Spielspuren auf der Rückseite des Korpus nicht von einer neuen zu unterscheiden ist! Sie wird mit einem Martin Custom Shop-Zertifikat geliefert und in einem TKL-Hartschalenkoffer geliefert.
