Martin Custom Shop 045 12 Fret Joan Baez Indian Rosewood Sitka Spruce 2021

De 45-serie vertegenwoordigt sinds 1904 het absolute toppunt van Martins vakmanschap. Met zijn abalone-inleg, grained ivoroid binding en de verfijnde Style 45 Snowflake-inleg op de toets is deze gitaar een meesterwerk van decoratieve kunst. De Custom Shop gaat nog een stap verder dan de reguliere productie: elk detail wordt met uiterste precisie uitgevoerd, van de hand geselecteerde Sitka sparren top tot de prachtig generfd Indisch palissander voor de klankkast. Het resultaat is een instrument dat zowel visueel als sonisch tot de absolute op behoort.

Deze 12-fret 0-body heeft de compacte afmetingen en de warme, intieme klank die Joan Baez zo geliefd maakte. De kortere mensuur en het Modified V-halsprofiel bieden een comfortabele bespeelbaarheid, terwijl de scalloped X-bracing zorgt voor een open, resonante toon met prachtige helderheid in de hoge tonen. De Vintage Gloss-afwerking met aging toner geeft de gitaar direct een ingespeeld karakter, alsof hij al decennia muzikale verhalen vertelt.

Martin heeft met deze Custom Shop-uitvoering niet alleen een historisch instrument gerecreëerd, maar ook een speelbare droom voor de moderne gitarist. Since 1904, the 45 series has represented the pinnacle of Martin craftsmanship. With its abalone inlays, grained ivoroid binding, and refined Style 45 Snowflake fingerboard inlays, this guitar is a masterpiece of decorative art. The Custom Shop goes a step further than conventional production: every detail is executed with the utmost precision, from the hand-selected Sitka spruce top to the beautifully grained Indian rosewood back and sides. The result is an instrument that is both visually and sonically outstanding.


This 12-fret 0-body guitar boasts the compact dimensions and warm, intimate tone that made Joan Baez so beloved. The shorter scale and Modified V neck profile offer comfortable playability, while the scalloped X-bracing produces an open, resonant tone with beautiful high-frequency clarity. The Vintage Gloss finish with aging toner gives the guitar an instantly played-in character, as if it has been telling musical stories for decades.
