The D42, along with the D45, is one of the most striking dreadnoughts in the standard Martin lineup. However, "standard" isn't a term we'd associate with this model, because it's simply a fantastic guitar!

Deze D42 heeft een zorgvuldig geselecteerde achter- en zijkanten van Indisch palissander die samen met een Sitka sparren bovenblad met forward shifted scalloped bracing het hart van het instrument vormen en zijn verantwoordelijk voor het kenmerkende Martin dreadnought geluid.
Wat deze D42 onderscheidt van de andere dreadnoughts in de standaard line-up zijn de ivoroid bindingen en Stijl 42 Abalone inleg die niet alleen te vinden zijn op de body, maar ook de hals, toets, headstock en zelfs de brug! De goudkleurige Grover open-geared tuners in combinatie met het abalone block-logo op de kopplaat geven het instrument een zekere autoriteit die past bij het krachtige tonale karakter.
En nu we het toch over geluid hebben; deze gitaar heeft het geluid dat je zou verwachten van een topkwaliteit dreadnought; extreem krachtig, blijft helder en briljant zelfs op de hogere posities. Dit is niet simpelweg een D28 met meer inleg, maar een gitaar van een heel ander niveau!
Deze D42 is afkomstig uit 2022, en verkeert nog nagenoeg in nieuwstaat. Op de slagplaat zijn lichte krasjes te vinden, en de brugpinnen zijn vervangen. Daarnaast is de gitaar uitgerust met een Rare Earth Mic Blend Active Soundhole Pickup voor een zeer natuurlijke versterkte sound. Een zeer complete, goed spelende én goed klinkende gitaar die er ook nog eens prachtig uitziet!

This D42 features carefully selected Indian rosewood back and sides, which, together with a Sitka spruce top with forward-shifted scalloped bracing, form the heart of the instrument and are responsible for the signature Martin dreadnought sound.
What sets this D42 apart from the other dreadnoughts in the standard lineup are the ivoroid bindings and Style 42 abalone inlays found not only on the body, but also on the neck, fingerboard, headstock, and even the bridge! The gold-tone Grover open-geared tuners, combined with the abalone block logo on the headstock plate, give the instrument a certain authority that matches its powerful tonal character.
And speaking of sound, this guitar has the sound you'd expect from a top-quality dreadnought; extremely powerful, remaining clear and brilliant even at the higher registers. This isn't simply a D28 with more inlays; it's a guitar on a whole other level!
This D42 is from 2022 and is still in near-mint condition. There are some light scratches on the pickguard, and the bridge pins have been replaced. The guitar is also equipped with a Rare Earth Mic Blend Active Soundhole Pickup for a very natural amplified sound. A very complete, well-playing, and great-sounding guitar that also looks stunning!

Diese D42 besticht durch sorgfältig ausgewähltes indisches Palisanderholz für Boden und Zargen. Zusammen mit der Sitka-Fichtendecke mit nach vorne versetzter, geschwungener Beleistung bildet sie das Herzstück des Instruments und ist verantwortlich für den charakteristischen Martin-Dreadnought-Sound.
Was diese D42 von den anderen Dreadnoughts der Standardserie unterscheidet, sind die Ivoroid-Bindings und die Style-42-Abalone-Einlagen, die sich nicht nur am Korpus, sondern auch am Hals, Griffbrett, der Kopfplatte und sogar am Steg finden! Die goldfarbenen Grover-Mechaniken mit offener Mechanik verleihen dem Instrument in Kombination mit dem Abalone-Blocklogo auf der Kopfplattenplatte eine gewisse Autorität, die seinem kraftvollen Klangcharakter entspricht.
Und apropos Klang: Diese Gitarre liefert den Klang, den man von einer erstklassigen Dreadnought erwartet: extrem kraftvoll und dabei selbst in den höheren Lagen klar und brillant. Sie ist nicht einfach eine D28 mit mehr Einlagen; sie ist eine Gitarre der Extraklasse!
Diese D42 stammt aus dem Jahr 2022 und ist in nahezu neuwertigem Zustand. Das Schlagbrett weist einige leichte Kratzer auf, und die Stegstecker wurden ersetzt. Die Gitarre ist mit einem aktiven Rare Earth Mic Blend Schallloch-Tonabnehmer ausgestattet, der für einen sehr natürlichen verstärkten Klang sorgt. Eine sehr komplette, gut spielbare und großartig klingende Gitarre, die zudem umwerfend aussieht!
