Martin Dreadnought Cherry Hill Custom 2024

​In 1839 legde C.F. Martin de eerste steen voor zijn nieuwe werkplaats in Cherry Hill, Pennsylvania, nadat hij zijn bedrijf vanuit Manhattan had verplaatst. Die historische locatie, nog geen halve mijl van de huidige Martin-fabriek, vormt de inspiratie voor deze bijzondere Custom-serie. Het is een mooie cirkel dat Martin nu dit zeldzame Amerikaanse kersenhout gebruikt, een houtsoort die door zijn beperkte formaat zelden geschikt is voor gitaarbouw. De combinatie van het kersenhout met een Sitka sparren bovenblad resulteert in een heldere en gebalanceerde klank waarin warme middentonen centraal staan. 

Dit maakt de gitaar bijzonder geschikt voor fingerpicking en lichte strumming, waarbij akkoorden helder en transparant ten gehore gebracht worden. De verfijnde respons zorgt ervoor dat zelfs subtiele speeltechnieken goed tot hun recht komen. De details zoals de esdoorn binding en het speciaal geselecteerde ebben voor toets en brug maken het visuele plaatje compleet, terwijl de klassieke Diamond & Squares abalone inleg een vleugje elegantie toevoegt. Met een comfortabele mensuur van 645 mm, een halsprofiel met High Performance Taper en Grover Open Gear stemmechanieken is dit instrument niet alleen een fraaie verschijning, maar ook een betrouwbare en inspirerende partner voor elke gitarist die op zoek is naar iets authentieks met een eigen karakter.

Deze Martin uit de Custom Shop is gebouwd in 2024, en verkeert met slechts minimale speelsporen op de slagplaat en de zijkant van de klankkast nog nagenoeg in nieuwstaat. De gitaar wordt met TFOA paspoort geleverd in een koffer van TKL.

In 1839, C.F. Martin laid the foundation stone for his new workshop in Cherry Hill, Pennsylvania, after relocating his business from Manhattan. That historic location, less than half a mile from the current Martin factory, inspired this unique Custom series. It's a fitting return to Martin's use of this rare American cherry, a wood rarely suitable for guitar making due to its limited size. The combination of cherry and a Sitka spruce top results in a clear and balanced tone with a warm midrange.


This makes the guitar particularly well-suited for fingerpicking and light strumming, delivering chords with clarity and transparency. The refined response allows even subtle playing techniques to shine through. Details like the maple binding and specially selected ebony fingerboard and bridge complete the visual picture, while the classic Diamond & Squares abalone inlay adds a touch of elegance. This Martin from the Custom Shop was built in 2024 and is in near-mint condition, with only minimal playwear on the pickguard and the sides of the body. The guitar comes with a TFOA passport and comes in a TKL hardshell case.

1839 legte C.F. Martin den Grundstein für seine neue Werkstatt in Cherry Hill, Pennsylvania, nachdem er sein Unternehmen von Manhattan verlegt hatte. Dieser historische Standort, weniger als 800 Meter vom heutigen Martin-Werk entfernt, inspirierte diese einzigartige Custom-Serie. Sie ist eine treffende Rückkehr zu Martins Verwendung dieser seltenen amerikanischen Kirsche, einem Holz, das sich aufgrund seiner geringen Größe nur selten für den Gitarrenbau eignet. Details wie das Ahorn-Binding und das speziell ausgewählte Griffbrett und der Steg aus Ebenholz runden das Erscheinungsbild ab, während die klassische Diamond & Squares-Abalone-Einlage für einen Hauch von Eleganz sorgt. Mit einer komfortablen Mensur von 645 mm, einem High Performance Taper-Halsprofil und Grover Open Gear-Mechaniken ist dieses Instrument nicht nur schön, sondern auch ein zuverlässiger und inspirierender Partner für jeden Gitarristen, der etwas Authentisches mit unverwechselbarem Charakter sucht. Diese Martin aus dem Custom Shop wurde 2024 gebaut und befindet sich in nahezu neuwertigem Zustand mit nur minimalen Spielspuren am Schlagbrett und den Korpusseiten. Die Gitarre wird mit einem TFOA-Pass und einem TKL-Hartschalenkoffer geliefert.
