De ES125 van Gibson zag in 1941 het levenslicht als de opvolger van de ES100, en had tot de productie in 1943 tijdelijk werd gestaakt een 14 inch body. Het model keerde vervolgens in 1946 terug met een grotere body net zoals de ES150, en had ook een diepe klankkast in tegenstelling tot het plattere 'T'-model dat later aan het assortiment werd toegevoegd.
De gitaar is uitgerust met een boven- en achterblad van gelamineerd esdoorn, en zijkanten van mahonie. Daarnaast beschikt de gitaar over een mahonie hals met een palissander toets. Het bovenblad is afgewerkt in sunburst en de body heeft op zowel de voor- als achterzijde een crèmekleurige binding, met daarbij ook de typische tortoise slagplaat. De gitaar is uitgerust met een enkele P90 in de halspositie, en de pickup is dankzij de volume- en toonknop toch verrassend veelzijdig.
Deze Gibson ES125 uit 1965 is een bijzonder fraai exemplaar, want hij speelt en klinkt fabuleus! De gitaar beschikt over zijn originele stemmechanieken en staartstuk, maar de palissander brug waarmee de gitaar oorspronkelijk werd uitgerust is vervangen door de tune-o-matic voor een betere intonatie. Ook de potmeters en pickup zijn origineel, en zorgen ervoor dat je de sound van de deze Gibson nog net zo kunt ervaren als in de jaren '60!

The Gibson ES125 was introduced in 1941 as the successor to the ES100, and had a 14-inch body until production was temporarily discontinued in 1943. The model returned in 1946 with a larger body like the ES150, and also had a deep body as opposed to the flatter 'T' model that was added to the range later.
The guitar is equipped with a laminated maple top and back, and mahogany sides. In addition, the guitar has a mahogany neck with a rosewood fingerboard. The top is finished in sunburst and the body has a cream-coloured binding on both the front and back, with the typical tortoise pickguard. The guitar is equipped with a single P90 in the neck position, and the pickup is surprisingly versatile thanks to the volume and tone knobs.
This Gibson ES125 from 1965 is a particularly beautiful specimen, because it plays and sounds fabulous! The guitar has its original tuners and tailpiece, but the rosewood bridge with which the guitar was originally equipped has been replaced by the tune-o-matic for better intonation. Das Modell kehrte 1946 mit einem größeren Korpus wie die ES150 zurück und besaß zudem einen tiefen Korpus im Gegensatz zum flacheren „T“-Modell, das später ins Sortiment aufgenommen wurde.
Die Gitarre hat eine Decke und einen Boden aus laminiertem Ahorn sowie Zargen aus Mahagoni. Darüber hinaus verfügt sie über einen Mahagonihals mit einem Palisandergriffbrett. Die Decke ist in Sunburst lackiert, der Korpus hat vorne und hinten ein cremefarbenes Binding und das typische Schlagbrett in Schildpattoptik. Die Gitarre ist mit einem einzelnen P90 im Halsbereich ausgestattet, und der Tonabnehmer ist dank der Volume- und Tone-Regler überraschend vielseitig.
Diese Gibson ES125 von 1965 ist ein besonders schönes Exemplar, denn sie spielt und klingt fantastisch! Die Gitarre hat ihre originalen Stimmmechaniken und Saitenhalter, aber der ursprünglich verbaute Palisandersteg wurde durch den Tune-o-matic für eine bessere Intonation ersetzt. Auch die Potentiometer und der Tonabnehmer sind original und sorgen dafür, dass Sie den Klang dieser Gibson noch immer wie in den 60er Jahren erleben können!
