Collings DS2H Sitka Spruce Indian Rosewood 2023

De langere body, met de brug dichter bij het midden van de lower bout, levert een open en luchtige toon met een soepelheid en warmte die je zelden vindt bij moderne 14-fret dreadnoughts. Voor zowel flatpicking als fingerstyle biedt deze gitaar enorm veel headroom en een breed dynamisch bereik dat uitnodigt tot zowel subtiele begeleiding als felle leadpartijen.

De herringbone purfling en abalone diamonds & squares toetsinleg verwijzen naar de prewar-periode, en samen met de donkere ebben kopfineer en ivoroid/tortoise rozet vormt dat een stijlvol geheel voor deze 12-fret krachtpatser. En naast de overvloedige headroom is deze DS vooral erg luid! De klank vult moeiteloos een ruimte zonder scherp of agressief te klinken. Hoewel hij ook subtiel fingerpickingwerk aankan, heeft hij een geweldige punch en directheid die hem perfect maakt voor bluegrass flatpicking.

Deze Collings is gebouwd in 2023, en verkeert in excellente conditie. Op het bovenblad bevinden zich zeer lichte speelsporen en enkele kleine dings, en ook op de achterzijde van de klankkast, de hals en de headstock zijn wat zeer lichte speelsporen te vinden. De gitaar is over het geheel gezien bijzonder schoon, en is een instrument dat je niet zomaar aan de kant legt als je eenmaal bent begonnen met spelen!

De gitaar wordt met TFOA paspoort geleverd in een TKL koffer.

The longer body, with the bridge closer to the middle of the lower bout, delivers an open and airy tone with a smoothness and warmth rarely found in modern 14-fret dreadnoughts. For both flatpicking and fingerstyle, this guitar offers enormous headroom and a broad dynamic range that invites both subtle accompaniment and fierce lead parts.


The herringbone purfling and abalone diamond and square fingerboard inlays hark back to the prewar era, and together with the dark ebony headstock veneer and ivoroid/tortoiseshell rosette, this creates a stylish ensemble for this 12-fret powerhouse. And besides the ample headroom, this DS is especially loud! The tone effortlessly fills a room without being harsh or aggressive. While it also handles subtle fingerpicking, it has a tremendous punch and directness that makes it perfect for bluegrass flatpicking.


This Collings was built in 2023 and is in excellent condition. There are very light playwear and a few minor dings on the top, and some very light playwear can also be found on the back of the body, neck, and headstock. Overall, the guitar is exceptionally clean and is an instrument you won't easily put aside once you've started playing!

The guitar comes with a TFOA passport in a TKL hardshell case.

Der längere Korpus mit dem Steg näher an der Mitte des unteren Korpus erzeugt einen offenen und luftigen Ton mit einer Geschmeidigkeit und Wärme, die bei modernen 14-bündigen Dreadnoughts selten zu finden ist. Sowohl für Flatpicking als auch für Fingerstyle bietet diese Gitarre enorme Dynamik und einen breiten Bereich, der sowohl subtile Begleitung als auch kraftvolle Soli ermöglicht.


Die Fischgräten-Einlagen und die Abalone-Diamant- und Quadrat-Griffbretteinlagen erinnern an die Vorkriegszeit und bilden zusammen mit dem dunklen Ebenholzfurnier der Kopfplatte und der Rosette aus Elfenbeinimitat/Schildpatt ein stilvolles Ensemble für dieses kraftvolle 12-bündige Instrument. Neben dem großzügigen Headroom ist diese DS besonders laut! Ihr Klang füllt mühelos den Raum, ohne dabei schrill oder aggressiv zu wirken. Sie eignet sich zwar auch für feines Fingerpicking, hat aber gleichzeitig einen enormen Punch und eine Direktheit, die sie perfekt für Bluegrass-Flatpicking machen.


Diese Collings wurde 2023 gebaut und ist in exzellentem Zustand. Es gibt nur sehr leichte Spielspuren und ein paar kleine Dellen auf der Decke. Auch am Korpus, Hals und an der Kopfplatte sind leichte Gebrauchsspuren zu erkennen. Insgesamt ist die Gitarre außergewöhnlich gut erhalten und ein Instrument, das man nicht so schnell wieder aus der Hand legen möchte, sobald man einmal angefangen hat zu spielen!


Die Gitarre wird mit einem TFOA-Pass in einem TKL-Hartschalenkoffer geliefert.
