Maton's EBW70C is een dreadnought die volledig is gemaakt van Tasmaans blackwood, een houtsoort die alleen op dit eiland groeit en bekend staat om zijn unieke klankeigenschappen! Deze all-blackwood constructie levert een warme, gebalanceerde toon met prachtige overtonen die het midden tussen mahonie en palissander vindt. Met zijn scalloped X-bracing en ingebouwde AP5 Pro pickup-systeem is deze Australische dreadnought klaar voor zowel studio als podium.
Maton werd in 1946 opgericht door Bill May in Melbourne en heeft zich ontwikkeld tot Australië's meest gerespecteerde gitaarbouwer. Het merk staat bekend om het gebruik van inheemse Australische houtsoorten, waarbij Tasmaans blackwood een van de meest bijzondere is. Dit hout groeit uitsluitend op Tasmanië en wordt geroemd om zijn unieke sonische eigenschappen die het ergens tussen mahonie en palissander plaatsen. Maton's EBW-serie (Ebony Blackwood) maakt volledig gebruik van dit zeldzame hout, zowel voor het bovenblad als voor de klankkast.
De all-blackwood constructie van deze EBW70C zorgt voor een coherente klank waarbij het bovenblad en de klankkast perfect op elkaar zijn afgestemd! Het blackwood levert een warme, rijke toon met uitstekende projectie en een gebalanceerde frequentierespons. De scalloped X-bracing draagt bij aan de resonantie en helderheid, terwijl de dreadnought-vorm zorgt voor de krachtige bas en volume die je van dit formaat mag verwachten.
Deze Maton uit 2019 ziet er nog enorm schoon uit en verkeert dan ook nog in excellente conditie. Hij heeft slechts minimale speelsporen opgelopen, met name op zijn slagplaat. Hij wordt in een koffer met TFOA-paspoort geleverd.
