In de jaren 1920 was het Orchestra Model oorspronkelijk bedoeld als een grote gitaar die boven andere orkestinstrumenten kon worden gehoord, vandaar de naam OM. Hoewel dit model voldeed, werd de relatief grote body al snel overschaduwd door de machtige dreadnought. Santa Cruz was een van de eerste moderne bouwers die deze nu kleinere favoriet succesvol herintroduceerde aan het begin van de jaren '80.
Het bovenblad van deze OM is gemaakt van Bearclaw sparren, een houtsoort die bekend staat door zijn mooie nerfpatroon en sterke tonale capaciteiten. De heldere resonantie van het Bearclaw sparren bovenblad zorgt voor een vol en dynamisch geluid en wordt aangevuld door het pallisander wat resulteert in een prachtig rijk geluid.
De klank van deze gitaar laat zich niet louter kenmerken door een hoger volume; de nuance van bijvoorbeeld fingerstyle zal behouden blijven, waarbij verfijnde solo's door de volle klank van de gitaar met minder inspanning gespeeld kunnen worden. Ook voor strumming komt deze OM enorm goed tot zijn recht!
Deze Santa Cruz OM uit 2019 heeft speelsporen en dings op het bovenblad, met name op het gedeelte achter de brug. Ook op de achterzijde van de hals zijn speelsporen te vinden. Verder is de gitaar uitgerust met een piezo-pickup. De gitaar verkeert in excellente conditie en wordt met TFOA paspoort geleverd in een koffer van Ameritage.
In the 1920s, the Orchestra Model was originally intended as a large guitar that could be heard above other orchestral instruments, hence the name OM. Although this model was adequate, the relatively large body was soon overshadowed by the mighty dreadnought. Santa Cruz was one of the first modern builders to successfully reintroduce this now smaller favorite in the early 1980s.
The top of this OM is made of Bearclaw spruce, a wood known for its beautiful grain pattern and strong tonal capabilities. The bright resonance of the Bearclaw spruce top provides a full and dynamic sound and is complemented by the rosewood resulting in a beautifully rich sound.
The sound of this guitar is not only characterized by a higher volume; the nuance of fingerstyle, for example, will be retained, whereby refined solos can be played with less effort due to the full sound of the guitar. This OM also comes into its own for strumming!
This 2019 Santa Cruz OM has playwear and dings on the top, especially on the part behind the bridge. Playwear can also be found on the back of the neck. Furthermore, the guitar is equipped with a piezo pickup. The guitar is in excellent condition and comes with a TFOA passport in an Ameritage hardhell case.

Die Decke dieser OM besteht aus Bärentatzenfichte, einem Holz, das für seine schöne Maserung und sein starkes Klangbild bekannt ist. Die helle Resonanz der Bärentatzenfichte sorgt für einen vollen und dynamischen Klang, ergänzt durch das Palisanderholz, was zu einem wunderbar vollen Klang führt.
Der Klang dieser Gitarre zeichnet sich nicht nur durch ein höheres Volumen aus; die Nuancen des Fingerstyles bleiben beispielsweise erhalten, wodurch raffinierte Soli dank des vollen Klangs der Gitarre mit weniger Aufwand gespielt werden können. Auch beim Strumming kommt diese OM voll zur Geltung!
Diese Santa Cruz OM aus dem Jahr 2019 weist Spielspuren und Dellen auf der Decke auf, insbesondere hinter dem Steg. Auch auf der Rückseite des Halses finden sich Spielspuren. Die Gitarre ist außerdem mit einem Piezo-Tonabnehmer ausgestattet. Sie ist in ausgezeichnetem Zustand und wird mit einem TFOA-Pass in einem Ameritage-Hartschalenkoffer geliefert.
