De ES335 is de ultieme keuze voor wie op zoek is naar het onmiskenbare geluid van Gibson’s legendarische semi-hollow body ontwerp. Het lichte gewicht, de krachtige humbuckers en de slanke hals hebben deze gitaar tot een vaste waarde gemaakt in de arsenalen van talloze muzikanten. Deze gitaar heeft nog steeds zijn originele Patent No. pickups, en verder heeft de gitaar nog de beschikking over de originele onaangeroerde elektronica zoals CTS-potmeters uit 1967. De originele Kluson Double Ring stemmechanieken zijn vervangen door modernere Gibson Deluxe Single Ring stemmechanieken, en ook de brug is vervangen. Daarnaast heeft de gitaar een refret gehad, en is ook de topkam vervangen. Naast het originele staartstuk is ook de originele slagplaat met vervaagd Gibson-logo aanwezig. Dit logo werd alleen in 1968 en het begin van 1969 aangebracht op de slagplaat. Tenslotte zien we dat het materiaal van de inlay op de toets her en der is gekrompen, met name op de derde fret.

This guitar still carries its original Patent No. Pickups, and the guitar still features the original, untouched electronics, such as CTS potentiometers from 1967. The original Kluson Double Ring tuners have been replaced with more modern Gibson Deluxe Single Ring tuners, and the bridge has also been replaced. The guitar has also been refretted, and the nut has been replaced. Besides the original tailpiece, the original pickguard with a faded Gibson logo is also present. This logo was only applied to the pickguard in 1968 and early 1969. Finally, we see that the fretboard inlay has shrunk in places, particularly at the third fret.

Die originalen Kluson Double Ring Mechaniken wurden durch modernere Gibson Deluxe Single Ring Mechaniken ersetzt, ebenso der Steg. Die Gitarre wurde neu bundiert und der Sattel erneuert. Neben dem originalen Saitenhalter ist auch das originale Schlagbrett mit dem verblassten Gibson-Logo vorhanden. Dieses Logo wurde nur 1968 und Anfang 1969 auf dem Schlagbrett verwendet. Die Griffbretteinlagen sind stellenweise, insbesondere am dritten Bund, etwas geschrumpft.
