De introductie van de Precision Bass in 1951 geldt als een van de grootste muzikale mijlpalen van de vorige eeuw. Voor het eerst konden bassisten helder hoorbaar zijn zonder het gesjouw met een grote contrabas, en het instrument veranderde voorgoed het geluid van populaire muziek. Het vormde bovendien de basis voor talloze nieuwe stijlen en groeide uit tot een van de meest invloedrijke instrumenten ooit.
In de jaren tachtig verplaatste Fender een deel van de productie naar Japan om de kwaliteit hoog te houden terwijl de kosten lager bleven. De Made In Japan modellen kregen al snel de reputatie van uitstekende afwerking en betrouwbaarheid, en deze Precision Bass laat dat heel duidelijk zien. Met zijn driedelige ash body in Butterscotch Blonde en zwarte slagplaat heeft hij de klassieke uitstraling die bij een P Bass hoort.
Dit exemplaar uit 1994/95 schuift langzaam richting vintage en draagt enkele lichte gebruikssporen en kleine dings passend bij zijn leeftijd. Toch verkeert hij in uitstekende conditie en werkt alles perfect. Een prachtige bas voor zowel spelers als verzamelaars.

The debut of the Precision Bass in 1951 is widely regarded as one of the most important musical milestones of the twentieth century. It gave bassists the power to be heard clearly without the struggle of transporting a large upright bass, and it forever changed the sound of popular music. It also laid the foundation for countless new genres, becoming one of the most influential instruments ever built.
In the 1980s, Fender shifted part of its production to Japan to keep quality high while reducing costs. Their Made In Japan instruments quickly gained a reputation for exceptional craftsmanship, and this Precision Bass is a perfect example. With its three piece ash body in Butterscotch Blonde and the classic black pickguard, it captures the unmistakable P Bass identity with style.
This 1994/95 example is approaching vintage status and carries a touch of history with it. It has some light play marks and small dings, but remains in excellent condition both visually and functionally. A great instrument for players and collectors alike.

Es weist einige leichte Spielspuren und kleine Dellen auf, ist aber sowohl optisch als auch funktional in ausgezeichnetem Zustand. Ein großartiges Instrument für Spieler und Sammler gleichermaßen.
