Atkin Guitars werd in 1995 opgericht in Canterbury, Engeland. Alister Atkin begon als eenmansbedrijf, en bouwde als zodanig enkele handgemaakte gitaren per jaar. Gaandeweg werd het bedrijf door het grote succes van de gitaren uitgebreid naar zeven medewerkers, maar de gitaren zijn altijd handgemaakt gebleven. De Atkin Essential 00s is een gitaar dit de filosofie van Atkin perfect belichaamt; een lichtgebouwde gitaar waar de klank centraal staat.
De 00s is onderdeel van de Essential Series van Atkin. De gitaren uit deze serie beschikken alle over een Baked Sitka sparren bovenblad, een mahonie klankkast en een toets en brug van ebbenhout. De gitaren beschikken over de essenties die een gitaar nodig hebben, en hebben daardoor voor de volle 100% de Atkin tone! Door het gebakken bovenblad met speciale bracing beschikt deze compacte gitaar desondanks over een rijke sound met voldoende bas.
De lichtgewicht mahonie hals heeft eenC-profiel en is bij de 14e fret aan de body verbonden en heeft een ebben toets. Dit maakt deze gitaar tot een soepel bespeelbaar instrument, dat door de brede topkam bij uitstek geschikt is voor fingerstyle!
De gitaar wordt met echtheidscertificaat geleverd in een koffer van TKL.
Atkin Guitars was founded in 1995 in Canterbury, England. Alister Atkin started as a one-man business, and as such built a few handmade guitars per year. Gradually, the company was expanded to seven employees due to the great success of the guitars, but the guitars have always remained handmade. The Atkin Essential 00s is a guitar that perfectly embodies the philosophy of Atkin; a lightly built guitar where the sound is central.
The 00s is part of the Essential Series of Atkin. The guitars from this series all have a Baked Sitka spruce top, a mahogany back and sides and an ebony fingerboard and bridge. The guitars have the essentials that a guitar needs, and therefore have the full Atkin tone! Due to the baked top with special bracing, this compact guitar nevertheless has a rich sound with sufficient bass.
The lightweight mahogany neck has a C-profile and is connected to the body at the 14th fret and has an ebony fingerboard. This makes this guitar a smooth playing instrument, which is ideally suited for fingerstyle due to the wide top nut!
The guitar comes with a certificate of authenticity in a TKL hardshell case.

Aufgrund des großen Erfolgs der Gitarren wurde das Unternehmen nach und nach auf sieben Mitarbeiter erweitert, die Gitarren blieben jedoch stets handgefertigt. Die Atkin Essential 00s verkörpert perfekt die Philosophie von Atkin: eine leicht gebaute Gitarre, bei der der Klang im Mittelpunkt steht.
Die 00s gehört zur Essential-Serie von Atkin. Die Gitarren dieser Serie haben alle eine Decke aus gebrannter Sitka-Fichte, Boden und Zargen aus Mahagoni sowie Griffbrett und Steg aus Ebenholz. Die Gitarren verfügen über die wesentlichen Eigenschaften einer Gitarre und bieten somit den vollen Atkin-Sound! Dank der gebrannten Decke mit spezieller Verstrebung hat diese kompakte Gitarre dennoch einen satten Klang mit ausreichend Bass.
Der leichte Mahagonihals mit C-Profil ist am 14. Bund mit dem Korpus verbunden und verfügt über ein Griffbrett aus Ebenholz. Das macht diese Gitarre zu einem angenehm zu spielenden Instrument, das sich dank des breiten Sattels ideal für Fingerstyle eignet!
Die Gitarre wird mit einem Echtheitszertifikat in einem TKL-Hartschalenkoffer geliefert.
