Atkin Guitars werd in 1995 opgericht in Canterbury, Engeland. Alister Atkin begon als eenmansbedrijf, en bouwde als zodanig enkele handgemaakte gitaren per jaar. Gaandeweg werd het bedrijf door het grote succes van de gitaren uitgebreid naar zeven medewerkers, maar de gitaren zijn altijd handgemaakt gebleven.
Deze OM Sunburst is onderdeel van de Essential Series van Atkin. De gitaren uit deze serie beschikken alle over een Baked Sitka sparren bovenblad, een mahonie klankkast en een toets en brug van ebbenhout. De gitaren beschikken over de essenties die een gitaar nodig hebben, en hebben daardoor voor de volle 100% de Atkin tone!
Met zijn lange mensuur en kleinere bodyvorm dan een dreadnought is de OM een comfortabele gitaar om te bespelen. Door het gebakken bovenblad met speciale bracing beschikt deze compacte gitaar desondanks over een rijke sound met voldoende bas.
Deze Linkshandige Atkin wordt gekenmerkt als B-stock vanwege een geïnstalleerde K&K Pure Mini en een geplaatste strapbutton op zijn hiel. Ook had hij een scheurtje in zijn brug wat vakkundig in onze werkplaats en gerepareerd en vrijwel niet meer met het blote oog te zien is! De gitaar wordt met echtheidscertificaat geleverd in een koffer van TKL.

This OM Sunburst is part of Atkin’s Essential Series. All guitars in this series feature a baked Sitka spruce top, a mahogany body, and a fingerboard and bridge made of ebony. These guitars include all the essentials a guitar needs, delivering 100% of the signature Atkin tone.
With its long scale length and smaller body than a dreadnought, the OM is a very comfortable guitar to play. Thanks to the baked top with special bracing, this compact guitar still produces a rich sound with plenty of low end.
This left-handed Atkin is classified as B-stock due to an installed K&K Pure Mini pickup and a strap button added to the heel. It also had a small crack in the bridge, which was expertly repaired in our workshop and is now almost invisible to the naked eye. The guitar comes with a certificate of authenticity and a TKL case.

Diese OM Sunburst gehört zur Essential Series von Atkin. Alle Gitarren dieser Serie verfügen über eine gebackene Sitka-Fichten-Decke, einen Mahagonikorpus sowie Griffbrett und Steg aus Ebenholz. Die Instrumente bieten alle wesentlichen Eigenschaften, die eine Gitarre benötigt, und liefern damit zu 100 % den typischen Atkin-Ton.
Mit ihrer langen Mensur und der kleineren Korpusform im Vergleich zu einer Dreadnought ist die OM eine sehr komfortable Gitarre zum Spielen. Dank der gebackenen Decke mit spezieller Bracing erzeugt diese kompakte Gitarre dennoch einen reichhaltigen Klang mit ausreichend Bass.
Diese linkshändige Atkin wird als B-Stock geführt, da ein K&K Pure Mini Pickup installiert und ein Strapbutton an der Ferse angebracht wurde. Außerdem hatte sie einen kleinen Riss im Steg, der fachmännisch in unserer Werkstatt repariert wurde und jetzt mit bloßem Auge kaum noch zu erkennen ist. Die Gitarre wird mit Echtheitszertifikat und einem TKL-Koffer geliefert.
