De kleine, concertformaat body is comfortabel en licht en is voorzien van witte ABS-binding, een palissanderhouten brug en toets, en een benen topkam en brugzadel. Voorheen bekend als de F20, werd dit gitaarmodel populair gemaakt door vele artiesten in het folktijdperk. Terug onder een nieuwe naam en ontworpen met enkele moderne technieken die zijn ontwikkeld door meester-gitaarbouwer Ren Ferguson, straalt deze kleine, in Amerika gemaakte schat nog steeds hetzelfde charmante vintage karakter uit.
Een dunne satijnen laklaag geeft deze gitaar zijn vertrouwde, ingespeelde look en feel, en laat hem tevens ademen. De tijdloze details van de M40 Troubadour omvatten een rozet in vintage-stijl en het Guild-logo ingelegd op de kop. De gitaar is daarnaast ook nog voorzien van een LR Baggs Element VTC pickup die de gitaar ook versterkt goed tot zijn recht laat komen.
De gitaar is gebouwd in 2019, en verkeert met slechts zeer lichte speelsporen nog nagenoeg in nieuwstaat. De gitaar wordt met echtheidscertificaat geleverd in een koffer.

A thin satin finish gives this guitar its familiar, played-in look and feel, while also allowing it to breathe. Timeless details on the M40 Troubadour include a vintage-style rosette and the Guild logo inlaid on the headstock. The guitar also features an LR Baggs Element VTC pickup, which makes the guitar sound great even when amplified.
The guitar was built in 2019 and is in near-mint condition with only very minor playwear. It comes in a hardshell case with a certificate of authenticity.
