Vanwege de lage productieaantallen tussen 1936 en 1939 bleef dit model grotendeels onder de radar, hoewel het een geweldig klinkend en spelend instrument was!
De Gibson Acoustic Custom Shop is verheugd om opnieuw de Gibson 1936 Advanced Jumbo aan te bieden, uitgerust met een Thermally Aged Adirondack sparren bovenblad, palissander achterkant en zijkanten, en premium Waverly stemmechanieken. De Advanced Jumbo uit 1936 brengt alle toon en prestige terug die deze instrumenten tot een gewild instrument van artiesten en verzamelaars maakten.
Het model is voorzien van Heavy Aging door de Murphy Lab, een proces dat de gitaar een doorleefde uitstraling en gevoel geeft, vergelijkbaar met decennia van intensief gebruik. Deze behandeling voegt karakter en charme toe en bootst de authentieke slijtage van een Golden Era-instrument na. Het verouderingsproces strekt zich ook uit tot de hardware, wat bijdraagt aan de vintage esthetiek.

At a time when social optimism was low, Gibson came up with a new line of “advanced” instruments; included among those models was the Advanced Jumbo. Due to low production numbers between 1936 and 1939, this model largely flew under the radar, despite being a great sounding and playing instrument!

Das Modell wurde vom Murphy Lab mit Heavy Aging behandelt, einem Verfahren, das der Gitarre ein lebendiges Aussehen und Gefühl verleiht, das an jahrzehntelange intensive Nutzung erinnert. Diese Behandlung verleiht Charakter und Charme und imitiert die authentische Abnutzung eines Instruments aus der Goldenen Ära.
