Dave Grohl, the legendary 19-time GRAMMY winner and two-time Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee, has long been associated with Gibson guitars. Since 2021, he’s been performing with a striking Alpine White version of his signature DG-335 at Foo Fighters shows around the world. Now, Gibson is releasing a highly exclusive run of this guitar, finished in the same Alpine White gloss nitrocellulose lacquer.

Dit limited edition model combineert elementen uit de ES-335- en Trini Lopez-ontwerpen, die persoonlijk door Dave zijn gespecificeerd. Bovenop zit een gebonden Indisch palissander toets met 22 middelgrote jumbo frets en split-diamond-inlays van cellulose. De kop in Firebird-/Trini Lopez-stijl is uitgerust met Grover Mini Rotomatic-stemmers voor betrouwbare prestaties.
De hardware omvat een TonePros ABR-1-brug met nylon zadels en een vergrendelend TonePros stopper-staartstuk voor een uitstekende stemvastheid en sustain. De elektronica bestaat uit ongepotte Custombuckers met ruwgegoten Alnico 3-magneten volgens vintage specificaties, bedraad op individuele volume- en toonregelaars met CTS-potentiometers en papier-in-olie-condensatoren. Een Switchcraft-driewegschakelaar en een ¼-inch jack-output maken de configuratie compleet. Gouden top hat-knoppen met zilveren reflectors en aanwijsknoppen maken het eenvoudig om uw instellingen in één oogopslag te controleren.
De gitaar is gebouwd in 2025, en heeft drie minuscule dings; op de achterzijde van de body, achterop de hals en bij de input jack. Eerdere DG-335-releases waren snel uitverkocht en blijven zeer gewild op de vintagemarkt. Deze speciale serie bestaat uit slechts vijftig gitaren, die elk door Dave Grohl zijn gesigneerd op het klankgatlabel. Deze editie was alleen verkrijgbaar via de website van Gibson en de Gibson Garage-locaties in Nashville en London, en is inmiddels volledig uitverkocht!
This limited-edition model blends elements from the ES-335 and Trini Lopez designs, as specified by Dave himself. It features a semi-hollow three-ply maple/poplar/maple body with bound diamond-shaped sound holes in the Trini Lopez style, single-ply cream binding on the top and back, and a solid maple centerblock that helps reduce feedback.
The mahogany neck includes a long tenon for improved sustain and is carved to a standard Trini Lopez profile. It’s topped with a bound Indian rosewood fretboard, 22 medium jumbo frets, and split diamond inlays made of cellulose. The Firebird/Trini Lopez style headstock is fitted with Grover Mini Rotomatic tuners for reliable performance.
Hardware includes a TonePros ABR-1 bridge with nylon saddles and a locking TonePros Stop Bar tailpiece, offering excellent tuning stability and sustain. The electronics feature unpotted Custombuckers with rough cast vintage spec Alnico 3 magnets, wired to individual volume and tone controls with CTS potentiometers and paper-in-oil capacitors. A Switchcraft 3-way toggle and ¼-inch output jack complete the setup. Gold Top Hat knobs with silver reflectors and dial pointers make it easy to check your settings at a glance.
The guitar was built in 2025, and has three tiny dings; on the back of the body, on the back of the neck, and near the input jack. Previous DG-335 releases sold out quickly and remain highly sought after on the vintage market. This special series consists of only fifty guitars, each signed by Dave Grohl on the soundhole label. This edition was only available through Gibson's website and Gibson Garage locations in Nashville and London, and is now completely sold out!

Sie verfügt über ein eingefasstes Griffbrett aus indischem Palisanderholz, 22 Medium-Jumbo-Bünde und Split-Diamond-Inlays aus Zellulose. Die Kopfplatte im Firebird/Trini-Lopez-Stil ist mit Grover Mini Rotomatic-Mechaniken für zuverlässige Performance ausgestattet.
Die Hardware umfasst eine TonePros ABR-1 Brücke mit Nylon-Saitenreitern und einen TonePros Stop Bar Locking-Saitenhalter, die für exzellente Stimmstabilität und Sustain sorgen. Die Elektronik besteht aus ungetopften Custombuckern mit grob gegossenen Alnico-3-Magneten nach Vintage-Spezifikation, die mit separaten Lautstärke- und Klangreglern, CTS-Potentiometern und Papier-in-Öl-Kondensatoren verdrahtet sind. Ein Switchcraft 3-Wege-Schalter und eine 6,35-mm-Klinkenbuchse runden das Setup ab. Goldene Top-Hat-Knöpfe mit silbernen Reflektoren und Zeigern ermöglichen die schnelle und einfache Kontrolle der Einstellungen.
Die Gitarre wurde im Jahr 2025 gebaut und weist drei winzige Dellen auf: auf der Rückseite des Korpus, auf der Rückseite des Halses und in der Nähe der Eingangsbuchse. Frühere DG-335-Modelle waren schnell ausverkauft und sind auf dem Vintage-Markt nach wie vor sehr begehrt. Diese Sonderedition umfasst nur fünfzig Gitarren, die jeweils von Dave Grohl auf dem Schallloch-Etikett signiert wurden. Diese Edition war ausschließlich über Gibsons Website und die Gibson Garage Stores in Nashville und London erhältlich und ist nun komplett vergriffen!
