Epiphone Inspired by Gibson Custom 1942 Banner J45 Reissue Vintage Sunburst

​De Epiphone 1942 Banner J45 Reissue is een eerbetoon aan een van de meest legendarische akoestische gitaren ooit: de originele Gibson J45 uit 1942. Dit "Werkpaard", zoals hij al snel bekend kwam te staan, werd geliefd vanwege zijn eenvoudige ontwerp, veelzijdigheid en betrouwbare klank. Epiphone brengt deze klassieker nu terug in samenwerking met Gibson Custom, met oog voor detail en karakter.

De gitaar heeft een thermisch verouderd massief Sitka sparren bovenblad, gecombineerd met massief mahoniehouten achter- en zijkanten, voor de warme, gebalanceerde klank die de J45 tot een favoriet onder muzikanten maakt. De mahonie hals met V-profiel is eveneens thermisch verouderd en voorzien van een Indisch palissander toets met parelmoeren dot-inlays. Andere kenmerkende details zijn de open-gear stemmechanieken met crème knoppen, de teardrop slagplaat en de rechthoekige brug met gecompenseerde benen zadel. De kop heeft het klassieke "open book"-profiel met de Epiphone-banner en Gibson Crown in gouden silkscreen.

Met de ingebouwde L.R. Baggs Element Bronze VTC pickup is deze gitaar klaar voor zowel studio als podium. Alles wordt geleverd in een stevige Red Line-hardshell koffer met het Inspired by Gibson Custom-logo. Een echte klassieker, gebouwd voor moderne muzikanten.

The Epiphone 1942 Banner J45 Reissue pays tribute to one of the most legendary acoustic guitars ever made: the original 1942 Gibson J45. This "workhorse," as it quickly became known, was beloved for its simple design, versatility, and reliable tone. Epiphone is now bringing back this classic in collaboration with Gibson Custom, with an eye for detail and character.


The guitar features a thermally aged solid Sitka spruce top, combined with solid mahogany back and sides, for the warm, balanced tone that makes the J45 a favorite among musicians. The mahogany neck with a V-profile is also thermally aged and features an Indian rosewood fingerboard with pearloid dot inlays. Other distinctive details include open-gear tuners with cream buttons, a teardrop pickguard, and a rectangular bridge with a compensated bone saddle. The headstock has the classic "open book" profile with the Epiphone banner and Gibson Crown in gold silkscreen.


With its built-in L.R. Baggs Element Bronze VTC pickup, this guitar is ready for both studio and stage use. It comes packaged in a sturdy Red Line hardshell case with the Inspired by Gibson Custom logo. A true classic, built for modern musicians.

Dieses „Arbeitstier“, wie sie schnell genannt wurde, war für sein schlichtes Design, seine Vielseitigkeit und seinen zuverlässigen Klang beliebt. Epiphone bringt diesen Klassiker nun in Zusammenarbeit mit Gibson Custom mit viel Liebe zum Detail und Charakter zurück.


Die Gitarre verfügt über eine thermisch gealterte Decke aus massiver Sitka-Fichte, kombiniert mit Boden und Zargen aus massivem Mahagoni. Dies sorgt für den warmen, ausgewogenen Klang, der die J45 zu einem Favoriten unter Musikern macht. Der Mahagonihals mit V-Profil ist ebenfalls thermisch gealtert und verfügt über ein Griffbrett aus indischem Palisander mit Perlmutt-Punkteinlagen. Weitere markante Details sind offene Mechaniken mit cremefarbenen Knöpfen, ein tropfenförmiges Schlagbrett und ein rechteckiger Steg mit kompensiertem Knochensattel. Die Kopfplatte hat das klassische „Open Book“-Profil mit dem Epiphone-Banner und der Gibson-Krone im Goldsiebdruck.


Mit dem integrierten L.R. Mit dem Baggs Element Bronze VTC Pickup ist diese Gitarre sowohl für den Studio- als auch für den Bühneneinsatz geeignet. Sie wird in einem robusten Red Line Hartschalenkoffer mit dem „Inspired by Gibson Custom“-Logo geliefert. Ein echter Klassiker, gebaut für moderne Musiker.
