The LG2 was part of the same series as the LG1 and LG3, but it was the only model that continued production during WWII. Due to supply shortages, it was common for Gibson to use mahogany instead of spruce for the top during those years. This hogtop from 1944 is no exception.

Hij is geliefd om zijn scalloped X-braced bovenblad en zeer verzamelwaardig met het Banner logo op de kop. Naast het Bannerlogo verwijst het FON nummer '2651' op het hielblok naar het jaar 1944. Dankzij de volledig mahonie constructie onderscheidt de klank zich met dat beetje extra punch. En onderschat de kracht van deze gitaar zeker niet. Hij lijkt klein en compact, maar produceert een verrassend luide klank. Sla een paar akkoorden aan, en hij blaast je bijna omver! Bij een zachtere aanraking valt met name de helderheid van de hoge tonen op.
Op een paar scheurtjes in de binding na, is deze gitaar 'crackfree' en in zeer goede conditie! Het craquelé-patroon heeft zich over de jaren verspreid over de klankkast en hals, wat bijdraagt aan de ultieme vintage gitaar ervaring. De brug is vervangen en daaronder is nu een palissander brugplaat te vinden. De originele brug en brugplaat worden nog wel meegeleverd. De gitaar wordt nog wel gesierd door de originele slagplaat en stemmechanieken, en is een waar genot om te bespelen!
Wordt geleverd in een koffer met TFOA paspoort.

It's beloved for its scalloped X-braced top and highly collectible with the Banner logo on the headstock. Besides the Banner logo, the FON number '2651' on the heel block refers to the year 1944. Thanks to its all-mahogany construction, the sound stands out with that extra punch. And don't underestimate the power of this guitar. It seems small and compact, but produces a surprisingly loud tone. Strum a few chords, and it'll practically blow you away! With a softer touch, the clarity of the high notes is particularly noticeable.
Apart from a few small cracks in the binding, this guitar is crack-free and in excellent condition! The crackle pattern has spread over the years to the body and neck, contributing to the ultimate vintage guitar experience. The bridge has been replaced, and underneath it now features a rosewood bridge plate. The original bridge and bridge plate are included. The guitar is still adorned with the original pickguard and tuners, and is a true pleasure to play!
Comes in a hardshell case with a TFOA passport.

Abgesehen von ein paar kleinen Rissen im Binding ist diese Gitarre rissfrei und in ausgezeichnetem Zustand! Das Knistermuster hat sich im Laufe der Jahre auf Korpus und Hals ausgebreitet und trägt zum ultimativen Vintage-Gitarrenerlebnis bei. Der Steg wurde ersetzt und verfügt nun über eine Stegplatte aus Palisander. Der originale Steg und die Stegplatte sind im Lieferumfang enthalten. Die Gitarre ist immer noch mit dem originalen Schlagbrett und den originalen Mechaniken versehen und macht ein wahres Spielvergnügen!
