De DG255 zal zeker populair zijn bij elke Gypsy Jazz-gitarist. De Gitane DG255 is een getrouwe reproductie van de Selmer-stijl jazzgitaar die het originele Grand Bouche-ontwerp van de vroege jaren 1930 verving. Gemakkelijk herkenbaar in vroege foto's van Django!

Met zijn langere mensuur is het een koud kunstje om hem te bespelen en het kleinere klankgat geeft de gitaar zijn karakteristieke snap, percussieve en gefocuste klank die liefhebbers graag horen.
