Het idee voor dit instrument ontstond op onze inkoopafdeling, met als doel de 12 string resonator te benaderen die John Mayer gebruikt op nummers zoals "Walt Grace’s Submarine Test". Omdat het exacte model dat hij bespeelt niet meer in productie is, hebben we gekozen voor een NRP als basis, gecombineerd met een Custom Delphi neck, gelijk aan die op Mayer’s resonator. Het resultaat is een visueel authentieke en klankmatig inspirerende gitaar met een eigen karakter.
Deze 12 Fret is gebouwd met oog voor comfort en duurzaamheid en beschikt over een mahogany hals met verstelbare truss rod voor optimale stabiliteit. De rosewood toets met 16" radius en dot inlays zorgt voor een soepel speelgevoel. De slotted headstock en zes op een plaat stemmechanieken versterken de vintage uitstraling, terwijl het V shaped Delphi neck profiel een volle maar comfortabele grip biedt. Dankzij de royale nut width en de 635 mm 25" mensuur levert deze resonator een strakke en gefocuste klank met uitstekende definitie en snaarscheiding, ideaal voor verfijnd fingerpicking en open tunings.
Wordt geleverd met een hardshell case, polishing cloth en TFOA paspoort, zodat deze National klaar is voor studio, podium en vele jaren speelplezier.
The idea for this instrument originated in our purchasing department, aiming to recreate the 12 string resonator used by John Mayer on tracks such as "Walt Grace’s Submarine Test". As the exact model he plays has been discontinued, we chose an NRP as the foundation and paired it with a Custom Delphi neck, just like the one found on Mayer’s resonator. The result is a visually authentic and tonally inspiring instrument with its own unique identity.
Built for both comfort and reliability, this 12 Fret features a mahogany neck with an adjustable truss rod for long term stability. The rosewood fingerboard has a 16" radius and simple dot inlays, offering a smooth and direct playing experience. The slotted headstock and six on a plate tuners reinforce the vintage character, while the V shaped Delphi neck profile adds a substantial yet comfortable feel in the hand. With its generous nut width and 635 mm 25" scale length, this resonator delivers tight, focused tones with excellent clarity and string separation, ideal for intricate fingerpicking and open tunings.
Supplied with a hardshell case, polishing cloth and TFOA passport, this National is ready for studio sessions, stage work and years of inspired playing.
Die Idee für dieses Instrument entstand in unserer Einkaufsabteilung, mit dem Ziel, den 12-saitigen Resonator nachzubilden, den John Mayer in Titeln wie „Walt Grace’s Submarine Test“ verwendet. Da das genaue Modell, das er spielt, nicht mehr hergestellt wird, haben wir uns für einen NRP als Grundlage entschieden und ihn mit einem Custom Delphi-Hals kombiniert, genau wie bei Mayers Resonator. Das Ergebnis ist ein optisch authentisches und klanglich inspirierendes Instrument mit einer ganz eigenen Identität.
Diese 12-Bund-Gitarre wurde sowohl für Komfort als auch für Zuverlässigkeit entwickelt und verfügt über einen Mahagonihals mit einem einstellbaren Halsstab für langfristige Stabilität. Das Palisandergriffbrett hat einen Radius von 16 Zoll und einfache Punkt-Inlays, was ein geschmeidiges und direktes Spielgefühl ermöglicht. Die geschlitzte Kopfplatte und die sechs auf einer Platte montierten Mechaniken unterstreichen den Vintage-Charakter, während das V-förmige Delphi-Halsprofil für ein solides und dennoch komfortables Spielgefühl sorgt. Mit seiner großzügigen Sattelbreite und einer Mensur von 635 mm (25") liefert dieser Resonator straffe, fokussierte Töne mit ausgezeichneter Klarheit und Saitentrennung, ideal für kompliziertes Fingerpicking und offene Stimmungen.
Diese National wird mit einem Hartschalenkoffer, einem Poliertuch und einem TFOA-Pass geliefert und ist bereit für Studioaufnahmen, Bühnenauftritte und jahrelanges inspiriertes Spielen.
