Iris Guitars, based in Burlington, Vermont, was founded in 2018 under the auspices of Circle Strings. Iris works with a team of passionate guitar enthusiasts who, under the guidance of experienced luthiers Adam Buchwald and Dale Fairbanks, build modern guitars with a vintage sound and look.

Klein maar krachtig, de BB is officieel de gitaar met de kleinste body in het assortiment van Iris. Tijdens de folkboom van de jaren '50 en '60, toen de interesse in akoestische muziek weer toenam, zorgde de behoefte aan kleinere gitaren voor jongere, beginnende gitaristen ervoor dat de industrie iets ontwikkelde dat beter was afgestemd op mensen met een kleiner postuur. Deze 3/4-gitaren, oftewel studentenmodellen, worden geprezen om hun speelgemak en unieke geluid. Het resultaat is een parlorgitaar die pittig, punchy en ronduit brutaal is. De BB is gebaseerd op de body van het AB-model, maar is kleiner gemaakt, met behoud van een mensuur van 24,75 inch. Hij is niet alleen comfortabel om te bespelen, maar komt ook echt tot zijn recht in elke setting.
Om het authentieke gevoel van de gitaren uit de glorietijd te versterken gaat Iris Guitars nog een stapje verder met een matte finish die de gitaren een vintage gevoel geven. De zwarte finish wordt daarbij ter decoratie vergezeld door een ivoroid binding en slagplaat. Bij deze gitaar zijn ook de achter-en zijkanten als de hals in een matte lak gefinisht. En om het helemaal af te maken biedt Iris nu de optie om het kenmerkende logo in een meer ingetogen versie op de headstock te laten plaatsen, mede dankzij onze eigen Coen!
De gitaar wordt met TFOA paspoort geleverd in een koffer van TKL.

Small but mighty, the BB is officially the smallest-bodied guitar in Iris's lineup. During the folk boom of the 1950s and 1960s, when interest in acoustic music resurged, the need for smaller guitars for younger, aspiring players led the industry to develop something more tailored to those of a smaller stature. These 3/4-sized guitars, or student models, are praised for their playability and unique sound. The result is a parlor guitar that's punchy, punchy, and downright brutal. The BB is based on the AB model's body, but has been scaled down, retaining a 24.75-inch scale. It's not only comfortable to play but also truly shines in any setting.
To enhance the authentic feel of these guitars from their heyday, Iris Guitars goes a step further with a matte finish that gives them a vintage feel. The black finish is complemented by ivoroid binding and a pickguard for added decorative appeal. The back, sides, and neck of this guitar are also finished in a matte lacquer. And to top it all off, Iris now offers the option of having the signature logo placed on the headstock in a more understated version, thanks in part to our very own Coen!
The guitar comes with a TFOA passport and comes in a TKL hardshell case.

Die Gitarre wird mit einem TFOA-Pass und einem TKL-Hartschalenkoffer geliefert.
