Based in Burlington, Vermont, Iris Guitars was founded in 2018 under the wings of Circle Strings. Iris works with a team of passionate guitar enthusiasts who, under the leadership of experienced luthiers Adam Buchwald and Dale Fairbanks, build modern guitars with a vintage sound and appearance.

De gitaren van Iris profiteren van de enorme kennis van de luthiers die gewerkt hebben aan de high-end instrumenten van onder andere Circle Strings, Froggy Bottom Guitars en Fairbanks Guitars, en hierdoor biedt Iris een onwaarschijnlijke prijs-kwaliteitsverhouding. De gitaren voelen als een trouwe metgezel die je al jaren hebt bespeeld, en klinken dan ook werkelijk fabuleus.
De MS00 ontleent zijn naam aan Mark Stutman, de oprichter van Folkway Music. Stutman staat bekend als dé expert op het gebied van vintage Gibsons, en is daarnaast ook nog eens een uitstekende luthier. De gitaar is uitgerust met een mahonie klankkast en een Sitka sparren bovenblad, en heeft een schitterende sound die de relatief kleine body van de gitaar overstijgt. Door zijn korte mensuur van 24.75 inch speelt de gitaar ook nog eens bijzonder comfortabel, niet in de laatste plaats door de V-vormige hals.
Door de matte finish voelt de gitaar zeer prettig aan, en door de dunne laklaag is de gitaar ook nog eens bijzonder resonant. De gitaar wordt met TFOA paspoort geleverd in een koffer van TKL.

Iris guitars benefit from the extensive knowledge of the luthiers who have worked on the high-end instruments from Circle Strings, Froggy Bottom Guitars and Fairbanks Guitars, among others, and therefore Iris offers an incredible price-quality ratio. The guitars feel like a faithful companion that you have played for years, and they sound truly fabulous.
The MS00 takes its name from Mark Stutman, the founder of Folkway Music. Stutman is known as the expert in the field of vintage Gibsons, and is also an excellent luthier. The guitar is equipped with a mahogany back and sides and a Sitka spruce top, and has a beautiful sound that transcends the relatively small body of the guitar. Its short scale of 24.75 inches also makes the guitar particularly comfortable to play, not least because of the V-shaped neck.
The matte finish makes the guitar feel very pleasant, and the thin layer of lacquer also makes the guitar particularly resonant. The guitar comes with TFOA passport in a TKL hardshell case.

Der Name des MS00 geht auf Mark Stutman zurück, den Begründer der Folkway-Musik. Stutman gilt als Experte auf dem Gebiet der Vintage-Gibsons und ist außerdem ein ausgezeichneter Gitarrenbauer. Die Gitarre ist mit einem Boden und Zargen aus Mahagoni und einer Decke aus Sitka-Fichte ausgestattet und hat einen wunderschönen Klang, der über den relativ kleinen Korpus der Gitarre hinausgeht. Durch die kurze Mensur von 24,75 Zoll ist die Gitarre zudem besonders angenehm zu spielen, nicht zuletzt aufgrund des V-förmigen Halses.
Durch die matte Oberfläche fühlt sich die Gitarre sehr angenehm an und durch die dünne Lackschicht ist die Gitarre zudem besonders resonant. Die Gitarre wird mit TFOA-Pass in einem TKL-Hartschalenkoffer geliefert.
