De Martin 00028EC is het resultaat van een jarenlange samenwerking tussen Martin en Eric Clapton, en combineert vintage specificaties met moderne speelbaarheid. Dit signature model is een eerbetoon aan de pre-war Martins die Clapton zo bewondert, maar dan met hedendaags vakmanschap en de perfecte setup voor fingerstyle spelers!
Eric Claptons liefde voor Martin gitaren begon toen hij in de jaren '90 een 000-42 uit 1939 kocht, een gitaar die zijn sound fundamenteel veranderde. Deze ervaring inspireerde hem om samen met Martin een signature model te ontwikkelen dat de magie van die pre-war instrumenten vangt. De 00028EC debuteerde in 1996 en wordt sindsdien continu geproduceerd, waarbij Martin trouw blijft aan Claptons wensen: een gitaar met vintage karakter maar zonder de grillen van een echt oud instrument!
De combinatie van een Sitka sparren bovenblad met Indian Rosewood voor de klankkast levert een rijke, gebalanceerde sound op met warme bastonen en heldere trebles. De scalloped bracing geeft het bovenblad meer vrijheid om te resoneren, wat resulteert in grotere dynamiek en expressie bij zowel fingerstyle als licht plectrum spel.
Deze Martin uit 2025 ziet er nog enorm schoon uit en verkeert dan ook in excellente conditie. Hij slechts minimale speelsporen opgelopen, met name op zijn slagplaat en achterzijde. Wordt geleverd in een koffer met TFOA-paspoort.

Eric Clapton’s love for Martin guitars began in the 1990s when he purchased a 1939 000-42, a guitar that fundamentally changed his sound. This experience inspired him to work with Martin to develop a signature model that captures the magic of those pre-war instruments. The 00028EC debuted in 1996 and has been in continuous production ever since, with Martin staying true to Clapton’s wishes: a guitar with vintage character but without the quirks of an actual old instrument!
The combination of a Sitka spruce top and Indian rosewood body produces a rich, balanced tone with warm bass and clear trebles. The scalloped bracing allows the top to resonate more freely, resulting in greater dynamics and expressiveness for both fingerstyle and light pick playing.
This 2025 Martin is still in excellent condition and looks remarkably clean. It has only minimal playwear, mainly on the pickguard and back. Comes with a case and a TFOA passport.

Die Kombination einer Sitka-Fichtendecke mit einem Korpus aus indischem Palisander erzeugt einen vollen, ausgewogenen Klang mit warmen Bässen und klaren Höhen. Das „Scalloped Bracing“ verleiht der Decke mehr Freiheit zum Schwingen, was zu größerer Dynamik und Ausdruckskraft sowohl beim Fingerstyle- als auch beim leichten Plektrumspiel führt.
Diese Martin aus dem Jahr 2025 befindet sich in ausgezeichnetem Zustand und sieht noch immer sehr gepflegt aus. Sie weist nur minimale Spielspuren auf, hauptsächlich am Schlagbrett und auf der Rückseite. Wird im Koffer mit TFOA-Pass geliefert.
