De S2-serie begon in 2013 om spelers de vorm, het gevoel en de aandacht voor detail van PRS-vakmanschap te bieden in een fris, ongecompliceerd ontwerp. Sinds de introductie is de serie uitgegroeid van drie originele modellen, waaronder de S2 Custom 24, tot meer dan een dozijn opties voor spelers. De 10th Anniversary S2 Custom 24 is speciaal gemaakt om deze mijlpaal van de serie te vieren en om meer toon, meer schoonheid en meer waarde te leveren dan ooit tevoren.
De 10th Anniversary S2 Custom 24 bouwt voort op de originele specificaties van de S2 Custom 24, met behoud van een esdoorn top, mahonie body, 25" mensuurlengte, 24-fret Pattern Thin hals, PRS gepatenteerde 'molded' tremolo en PRS low-mass locking stemmechanieken. Speciale kenmerken zijn onder andere: een Cubaanse mahoniehouten hals, parelmoer vogelinleg en in de VS gemaakte PRS 85/15 pickups en elektronica.
PRS 85/15 pickups brengen vintage en modern pick-upontwerp samen om uitzonderlijke helderheid en uitgebreide hoge en lage tonen te leveren. De PRS 85/15's zijn nauwkeurig afgesteld met behulp van het PRS TCI-proces en zorgen voor een evenwichtige, volledige spectrumhelderheid. Ze zijn perfect voor moderne spelers die een pedalboard bedienen en hebben genoeg karakter geweldig te klinken wanneer ze rechtstreeks op een versterker worden aangesloten. De pickups zijn voor het eerst in de S2-serie ook gekoppeld aan een volume-, toon- en 5-standen-schakelaar (in tegenstelling tot een 3-wegschakelaar met push/pull-toonregeling).

PRS 85/15 pickups bring vintage and modern pickup design together to deliver exceptional clarity and extended high and low end. Fine-tuned using the PRS TCI process, PRS 85/15’s bring balanced, full-spectrum clarity. They are perfect for modern players driving a pedalboard and have enough character to deliver when plugging straight into an amp. The pickups have also been paired with a volume, tone, and 5-way blade switch for the first time in the S2 Series (as opposed to to a 3-way switch with push/ pull tone control).
