Ferdinand Rikkers founded Rikkers Gitaarbouw in 1983, and in the workshop in Groningen three passionate builders are now building the most striking instruments in the country. Including this special six-string Bodyline bass!

De Bodyline is een opvallende verschijning met z’n geprononceerde hoorns en vloeiende contouren. Deze karakteristieke bas heeft een ergonomisch design. Zo is de achterzijde van de body gewelfd zodat deze comfortabel aansluit op het lichaam. Ook is de achterzijde van de body afgeschuind, waardoor de bas iets naar het lichaam toe kantelt.
Het silhouet van de Bodyline is afgeleid van de Rikkers Flatline. Echter, naast z’n ergonomische vormgeving onderscheidt de Bodyline zich door enkele elegante details. Zo heeft de body aan het uiteinde een eigenzinnige punt. Geraffineerd is ook de afwerking van het fretboard dat na de 24e fret eindigt in golvende lijnen en een markant punt.
De Bodyline is standaard uitgevoerd met een doorlopende hals. Deze constructie levert een vol en gecomprimeerd geluidskarakter op dat past bij een kwaliteitsbas als deze. Verder heeft de Bodyline standaard een asymmetrisch halsprofiel, ofwel dikker onder de B-snaar en dunner onder de G-snaar. Door dit ergonomische design ligt de hals bijzonder comfortabel in de hand.
Deze Rikkers Bodyline is gebruikt, en heeft in de loop der tijd wat modificaties ondergaan. Zo kunnen we zien dat de halspickup verder naar achteren is geplaatst, en ook de bedieningsknoppen hebben ooit een andere positie gehad. The Bodyline is a striking appearance with its pronounced horns and flowing contours. This characteristic bass has an ergonomic design. For example, the back of the body is arched so that it fits comfortably on the body. The back of the body is also beveled, which makes the bass tilt slightly towards the body.
The silhouette of the Bodyline is derived from the Rikkers Flatline. However, in addition to its ergonomic design, the Bodyline distinguishes itself with several elegant details. For example, the body has a unique point at the end. The finish of the fretboard is also refined, ending in wavy lines and a striking point after the 24th fret.
The Bodyline comes standard with a continuous neck. This construction produces a full and compressed sound character that suits a quality bass like this. Furthermore, the Bodyline has an asymmetrical neck profile as standard, i.e. thicker under the B string and thinner under the G string. This ergonomic design makes the neck particularly comfortable to hold.
This Rikkers Bodyline is used, and has undergone some modifications over time. For example, we can see that the neck pickup has been placed further back, and the control knobs have also had a different position at some point. Der Bodyline besticht durch seine markanten Hörner und fließenden Konturen. Dieser charakteristische Bass ist ergonomisch gestaltet. Die Silhouette des Bodyline ist vom Rikkers Flatline abgeleitet. Neben seinem ergonomischen Design zeichnet sich der Bodyline jedoch durch einige elegante Details aus. So hat der Korpus beispielsweise eine einzigartige Spitze am Ende. Auch das Griffbrett ist raffiniert und endet in Wellenlinien und einer markanten Spitze nach dem 24. Bund.
Der Bodyline wird standardmäßig mit einem durchgehenden Hals geliefert. Diese Konstruktion erzeugt einen vollen und komprimierten Klangcharakter, der zu einem hochwertigen Bass dieser Art passt. Darüber hinaus verfügt der Bodyline standardmäßig über ein asymmetrisches Halsprofil, das unter der H-Saite dicker und unter der G-Saite dünner ist. Dieses ergonomische Design sorgt für einen besonders angenehmen Griff.
Dieser Rikkers Bodyline ist gebraucht und wurde im Laufe der Zeit modifiziert. So ist beispielsweise zu erkennen, dass der Hals-Pickup weiter hinten platziert wurde und auch die Regler irgendwann eine andere Position hatten.
